Communication with VRBO excellent. The location was out of the noisy area of the Ribeira, but close enough to walk into town. Cleverly laid out, the apt. seems bigger than it actually is. Good separation of the bedrooms, nice bathrooms with storage. The kitchen is sparely outfitted, but functional. We even did some laundry! The apartment is full of well-positioned windows to maximize daylight AND privacy. The living room is so large, i was able to do yoga and some body weight exercise with ease! We slept with the windows closed, as the street noise was sometimes quite loud, but MUCH more quiet than other parts of town. This location felt accessible, and safe. In the mornings, we walked along the river. During the day and evening when we went uphill to shops and restaurants, we took comfort in knowing that is was almost always a downhill walk to get home 😂. I don't usually stay in the same place twice, but if (when) I return to Porto, I'll be checking to see if this apartment is available first. It was one of the many reasons that Porto was our favorite part of our trip. ##### Rebecca R. This property was immaculate, well-equipped, and in a great location to visit Porto. We could walk to all of the attractions, and loved exploring the quaint backstreets and sights of Porto. The view of the Douro River and one of its bridges was amazing, and we never tired of watching boats of all kinds going up and down the river. The grocery store was only 2 blocks away, so we never wanted for anything, and the electric tram ran by regularly. Even walking, it only took us 20 minutes to get to the downtown. This is one of the best properties we have ever rented, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Porto! ##### Katherine S.
