"Our group consisted of six (nearly 70 y.o. but able to take the stairs) high school friends now living in four different states who came to Decorah for the purpose of catching up with one another and seeking the feeling of "being at home" (like in the olden days when we were growing up) while being away from home. Dolly's Place met and exceeded our expectations!! Note the "Five Star" (Excellent) ratings given for cleanliness, ease of check-in (VERY), host communications (SUPERB), and price appropriateness for all that was offered - including the neighborhood setting (SO PLEASANT) and the convenience of being able to walk to the downtown area (only a couple blocks).Favorite moments: Being able to prepare food (kitchen was well-stocked) and serve it on a lovely dining table large enough for all the food AND for the six of us to gather around. AND sitting on the front porch well into the evening - comfortable chairs and convenient side tables for beverages. This is a property that has an old-fashioned charm (and clearly lots of "good energy" infused) with all the modern updates. The group agreed that it would be their first choice for a future stay in Decorah."
