"We had an absolutely brilliant few days in the new bothy. We stayed here a few years ago in a motorhome in a gorgeous location and returned to stay in the Loch Fyne bothy which is brand new in 2025\. All facilities are included right down to a bottle opener. The bothy was spotless and the view is to die for, easy access to a Track for walking the dog or walking distance to the Creagan inn for food and drink."

"Very convenient location (to walk around Oban, and to grocery stores), beds were quite comfy, check-in was very easy, and host was very responsive. Lovely spot, would definitely stay again. Only complaint is that it was a little untidy (crumbs in the kitchen, some surfaces dusty)."

"Stayed in one of the lodges. The accommodation itself was a bit tired & could do with a refresh, but the setting, the views & hot tub more than made up for the shortcomings of the accommodation. The main hotel’s restaurant serves excellent food & staff very friendly. "

"Fab wee hotel with onsight parking. Room was spotless. Tea and coffee making facilities with bottled water and biscuits replenished every day. Fresh towels every day and housekeeping staff were so helpful and chatty. Hotel is situated on main road into Oban town centre. They have a beautiful bar area which is very quiet and would benefit from offering evening meal. Overall a wonderful stay. This is our fourth stay here and will most definitely be returning. "

"I’ll start by saying I don’t often make reviews unless something is really good, or really bad. And this one was really bad. To preface, I’ve travelled a bunch, stayed in group hostels, cheap airbnbs and done lots to save a few bucks on a trip. This place really is just not something I’d recommend anyone to spend money on. Spend the extra few dollars and go somewhere else. Check in was fine, there was no one at the desk for a few minutes then someone came out and quickly checked us in, pretty much saying nothing but “your stay doesn’t include breakfast”, “sign here” and “you’re in room 9 up the stairs”, and pointed where to go. Not my experience with most hotels but maybe they skipped their hospitality training. We went up to the room, the door kind of looks like Harry Potter’s door under the stairs. We got in and I’ll list below what I observed and what I came to find in the coming hours: Pros: - nice view on the mountains Cons: - tv mounted on the wall fully crooked - ceiling had a lamp shade that was falling off - One of the bed side lights didn’t work at all - Cob webs all over the side of the wall in one corner - Wall paper peeling off the walls - Black mold on the ceiling in the shower - Cold water tap moves out of place entirely when you turn it on - Shower fills up with water while using it because it doesn’t drain properly - bottom sheet in the bed. mattress cover, top sheet, comforter, one pillow each. - Toilet is constantly running - wifi sucks "

"This hotel is very tired, in need of upgrading, rooms were cold and shower was just a trickle. We were on the third floor, and the weather was very windy and wet which we know the hotel can’t do anything about, the weather but had we were in the top floor it was horrendous and there is obviously something wrong with the roof. Which they need to get looked at. Breakfast was buffet but the hot food was cold. Bar man was lovely as was the waiter in the restaurant. There was 5 other rooms in our party and they all complained about the cold rooms."

"We booked in for one night as a stopover on the way to Skye. We arrived late at night with our two dogs, all of the staff were lovely and made a fuss of them. The doggie welcome pack in the room was a lovely touch. Our room was perfect, patio doors out to the loch and a glorious view to wake up to. Breakfast was delicious. We didn’t get the opportunity to appreciate all of the facilities on this trip but we will definitely visit again for a longer stay."
