Very handy to the activities we were involved in. The floor hadn't been vacuumed or swept very well. We were there for two nights and were quite happy with our accommodations. Missed the decaf coffee in the check in area provided by most of the hotels we stay in.
Check in was 40 minutes.
Pool is unusable. Green and filthy

We did just have a very busy weekend, with lot of kids in and out of the pool quite often,, though the cleanliness should be kept up and will inform management about the concerns regarding the pool as well. Choice of hotels in that area are limited. This looked pretty good and I was right. Rooms were very clean and nice. We got a room on the back side away from the parking lot so it was quiet. The pool was too cool for me to use and we didn’t try the hot tub.

One reason we booked here was for the breakfast buffet. At check in we learned they haven’t had a breakfast buffet for many months.
The staff are absolutely fantastic. Front desk clerk was helpful and professional and made our stay much better!
Inside has been renovated but the outside is starting to show its age.
The restaurant was closed but our stay was made terrific by the incredible staff and housekeeping. Second time we stayed there. Definitely going back the next time we're in Port.
The hotel was clean and comfortable the kids enjoyed the pool. We were in town for a hockey tournament, and we understand that can be hectic. However the front desk staff wasn’t very flexible or accommodating. And we were denied a late checkout even though we could see online many rooms were available for incoming guests.

The daytime front desk person was not helpful at all. I would not stay here again.
Clean room, friendly staff and very nice to have an electric vehicle charger!

The staff at the property were rude and terrible to deal with. They wanted to charge us for multiple nights due to multiple bookings but we only booked once. They made us check into a 2 bed room instead of 1 and then tried to charge us more for that room. They told us we could cancel our Expedia booking (which we couldn’t). I’m not sure if we’ve been refunded yet
Nice and quiet windows open for night sleeping which is great!

Thought it was an expensive for what there was. Web site says there’s a grill but it was closed. Property and building needs some repair.

Hotel is currently under renovation. So the attached restaurant is closed at the moment. Our room was clean but our view was off the renovation dumpster. Didn't bother us we thought it was kinda funny actually. The staff was friendly and helpful always greeting us on our way in or out.
The pool "outside" but is fully covered an enclosed in by a fence so is private. It is also heated so it's nice & warm, and the hot tub was a perfect temperature. Just a little chilly when you get out.

The bus dropped me off there from Nanaimo👍The bed was well worn, paint missing, wall paper peeling, room was not serviced between my two day stay, no food was available and only fast food within walking distance. 👎

Hotel was not very accommodating. Even though I called ahead to have early check in
There was no efforts made . I had booked 7 rooms for an event that was hosted in sport Alberni and the hotel was one of the recommended hotels from the organizers.
We came from out of town and went through so much inconvenience. Additionally hotels . Com said breakfast was available for a cost. Since we weee out of town guest we thought it would be easier to get that instead of looking around for eating places however the hotel did not have any type of breakfast available and said the 3 td party provider lied on their fashion j is pointing directly at hotels . Com as they do not provide breakfast if any type. Very disappointed on this trip

We do our best to accomodate early check ins, though with check out time being at 11AM, this makes early check ins a struggle, especially for an group block. We were completely sold out for the days your team were here, and the night before you had arrived as well. Our housekeeping team works hard and as quickly as possible to have the rooms turned over and ready for the next arrivng guests.We have just recently closed our kitchen and restaurant in the beginning of December for renovations that is happening to the hotel. The restaurant dining area has been used and still is being used as a storage area for all the new equipment, supplies, etc for these renovations. And yes, unfortunately, the third party booking agencies have not updated our information, even with several efforts on our end to have them do this. I will forward your comments and concerns to my management, as our guests feedback is very important to us. I hope your next visit will be a happier and positive experience. Warmest Regards,
Sink wasn’t running properly and the smoke detector went off a few times during our stay. Otherwise our experience was mostly pleasant.

Super rundown property. Chipped paint, heat didn’t work, taps broken in bathroom. Noisy - as one of the only two rooms in the hotel that night we were placed next to another room which was very noisy at midnight.
Had to move rooms to get quiet. Clerk didn’t bother to ask how the stay was at checkout. Not worth the money.

The property has not been maintained and is not well cleaned. Restaurant was closed, pool paint was chipping. Drug paraphernalia was found in a “cleaned” room. I would not recommend staying here.
Two of the nights were marked by noise as fellow patrons became intoxicated and fights broke out. On two of the nights police were called ----- and we lost about 2 hours sleep each night. This really affected our day time hours given our busy and demanding schedule while in town. We are seniors.
The staff was very polite and supportive but these circumstances make us wonder if we can continue to stay at this preferred location.
My beef about this hotel:
1. No elevator witness the front desk gave a disabled person a 2nd floor room and didn’t assist the party to their room.
2. Hallways too long and staying on the second floor the ice machine & snack machine out of order.
3. Being out for the day and then coming back to the hotel our room keys didn’t work for three days. We had to walk this long ass hallway downstairs and have the access card reactivated. Pain in the ass! It seems they hotel doesn’t trust their guests staying there.
4. OVERPRICED people for what you get in poor service and amenities.
Great stay. Liked the pool and hot tub. Plenty of good parking. Friendly, helpful staff. Room was clean, bed comfortable. Some minor observations…vending machine not filled/working; we were looking forward to the breakfast buffet but it was cancelled due to staff illness. Overall a pleasant stay!
