"Cute little hotel. Big rooms but no amenities. Breakfast choices are ok for a few days, although coffee is bad.
Staff are hit or miss. Some of them not really professionally 😞"

Surfers flock to this coastal paradise for consistent waves and pristine beaches with fewer crowds than neighbouring San Juan del Sur. Grab fresh seafood at beachfront restaurants after watching the spectacular sunset from Magnific Rock viewpoint.
Rustic, chic and wonderful service. Lots of kids (more than expected). This is fine and not a knock on the hotel but worth noting that there is a louder kids vibe than anticipated.

Great new hotel, the only suggestions I would have to offer this resort are
1 - to add/include some art in the rooms. The walls were empty/blank...perhaps they are still waiting to add this feature to the rooms but there is so much fantastic art in Nicaragua I would love to see that reflected in the rooms.
2 - landscaping, while the grounds were very neat/tidy I was surprised they did not have more plants with flowers/color as the general area around San Juan Del Sur has a lot of different...

I wish I could give this place a low score to keep it off people’s radar, but I can’t keep this gem to myself. Where to start…The staff are all amazing and super helpful. Willing to book horse back riding, taxis or get you set up with a motorcycle rental. The rooms are cleaned daily and there is always someone around to take a food or beverage order. I travelled there with husband and two teenagers. Kids were pretty independent on site. They swam everyday, played in the ocean out front or...

Pros
Amazing, gorgeous, breathtaking private beach with palm trees and white sand, kayaks, hamacs, private spaces for each family. Room concept is really cool, no walls, just screens, we had the forest view one and really enjoyed the plunge pool with the kids. Would recommend this one with kids, it’s close to the main area and they liked the pool. The bed was really comfortable and the room felt new and clean. This was our second stay here. We came back as it is the place to go if you go to San Juan Del Sur and want to relax and be away from the busy life of town AND there is a beach nearby. Has a Mama Mia vibe to it. Perhaps we were off season, but the food was not as good as our first visit. I kept being promised they would have the peanut butter chocolate bars “tomorrow”, but these delicious bars I enjoyed last time never materialized. I think next time we will try a different place.

The property was close to beach and walkable. We enjoyed the pool and breakfast was an option which we had a few times. Staff was very helpful arranging taxi and sharing walks and things to explore. Enjoyed that it was non smoking. Enjoyed having coffee and water available as well. I would recommend this place and have no problem coming back.

I had a great experience at Aqua. The staff were accommodating and welcoming. The cabins are beautiful, hearing the trees dance in the wind and the waves on the shore- you cannot bet that. The beach itself is amazing and sunsets are in perfect view. Very happy with my stay and would highly recommend.
