"Glenda, the proprietor, was very friendly and helpful. She is one of the hardest working women I have ever met. Our accommodations were clean and quiet. "Me and my mom stayed with our dogs while working on our property nearby. The views were spectacular, especially watching fireworks in the valley below. "My girlfriend and I loved this cottage and the view was amazing! We spent 99% of the time on the back porch. Enjoyed the clear days and watching the rain roll through the valley. There is some other cottages around, but you won’t even notice they are there. The owner did a great job with modernizing the cottage, but keeping a mountain cottage feel. Morganton has many parks with great trails, waterfalls and views. Visit Lake James…beautiful lake with kayaking available. We hope to return next...
