The property is historic and interesting. The rooms are relatively small but very comfortable. The restaurant was amazing. The chef does an amazing job. We would return again just to have dinner.
Great to see the renaissance of downtown Gastonia. The Esquire is a cornerstone of the surge. When we were looking for lodging in the area, we saw the Esquire and we were delighted to see the old bank and lawyers’ building converted. The staff was amazing. The restaurant sources from all locally owned farms and suppliers. The rabbit gnocchi was life-changing. I wish I could rate higher than all 5s. Thank you Esquire- we will be back soon!!!!!
They took excellent care of us! It’s a great hotel in the middle of a growing city- clean, friendly, enough space, and great staff at front desk and at the bar!
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant served great food. The room itself looked nice with a view from the 5th floor. And the roof top sitting area was nice. Overall my stay was 10/10 definitely would recommend.
Lovely historic building with a great restaurant and patio area and a roof top area. Friendly staff - clean and comfy rooms. Nice location and easy parking. Would definitely stay again.
Very unique nostalgia building. The front desk clerk gave us some history of the building. She was so friendly and made you feel right at home.We enjoyed the history of the building.
Very cool place, love how they kept a lot of the old bank/legal building features. Thoroughly enjoyed the bar and restaurant, and the room itself was quite a nice surprise! Large and nicely decorated, with huge windows and equally impressive blackout curtains! Extremely hot outside that day, and the AC had a bit of trouble keeping up. Could’ve used a fan. But that’s not really the hotel‘s fault! The service in the bar and at the front desk were both very friendly and made the stay quite enjoyable!
Clean Rooms, very quiet, always a quick and easy check in/out. I travel Through NC a lot and this is always my favorite place for an overnight stay when im passing though! Highly recommend this place! Oh and the restaurant on site is delicious!
