Unfortunately, the water levels are low, but we knew this coming in and we were able to put a few seats in the water and dip our toes in.The cabin had everything we needed, and we appreciate that they included some additional items like face wipes, hand, soaps, Q-tips, etc.Our family is used to being on well water so just wanna mention to families visiting …if you use the hot water you may have a sulfur type smell, which is completely normal. We like the proximity to Bandera and exploring the town. They, Andrea, and the pups were so welcoming, kind, & helpful. Since this place is on the river, I had prepared myself for a lower expectation of cleanliness, but was I wrong & so pleasantly surprised. The cabin was incredibly clean & tidy! It had all the comforts of home when it came to the kitchen, so cooking and grilling was a breeze. Plenty of plush towels & extras. The beds were comfortable and the bedding was soft & inviting. The one private access bedroom was perfect for our adult daughter & the bunk beds were fun for our two little ones. We loved having coffee on the huge porch with the wildlife. This is such a safe & peaceful property. The river is a short trek away with plenty of spots to soak & explore. I was worried about finding a quiet spot on the river for the day, but it was the complete opposite. There is plenty of amazing riverfront to spread out from others, but also opportunities to say hi to other visitors if you like. The water was so clear with beautiful views! Our kids loved catching frogs & crawdads in the evenings. Bandera is nearby if you need anything, plus they have some needed items in the office for sale. We ordered pizza from the Dough Joe in town & it was excellent. Thank you so much for the wonderful vacation & for all your hospitality! Your efforts toward guest comfort & extras show! The property is gorgeous and has great river access. The cabin was clean and well stocked with anything you could possibly need to stay. The owners and camp host were wonderful and very helpful. The views were great and there is plenty of room for kids to explore. The river was low, but that didn't dampen the fun we had. The location is a little secluded, but still close to State parks and the town of Bandera. All in all, if you want a peaceful spot, this is the place. ##### mark d. The cabin was clean, very well equipped and so comfortable! The covered deck facing the river provided a lovely place to watch the birds, the river, and families enjoying this fantastic setting. My dog enjoyed it as much as I did! Best of all, the owners and the camp host were amazing.., welcoming and attentive. I would recommend Boulderdash cabin! Not much water but the kids had so much fun in the water there was and on the rocks. Cook out and nice walks. Animals to see and a town nearby where a festival was going on. When first getting to the property. The host family that runs the place, are SUPER friendly! They were extremely helpful and even wheeled down the wood that we paid for.
