« Pretty remote so if you’re out driving, make sure you become familiar with the (fairly convenient) bus schedule, although it’s a half mile from the bus stop, or be prepared to pay a healthy taxi/Uber fare from Keswick. The grounds are lovely and rooms/common areas well-maintained. Breakfast doesn’t start until 0745, very inconvenient for an early start. Staff could be a little more helpful in pointing out bus schedule, local attractions, arranging cabs, etc. a nice experience overall. »

« We came back late from a long walk in the Lakes and realize arriving in our room that they gave us a room with no blind or curtain !!!! We rang the Reception at 11pm they said someone was coming but nobody showed up. The following morning when we wanted to record a formal claim the receptionist just told us "sorry" It is a shame !!! Avoid this hotel ! You pay a high rate for the location but the rest is shameful !! »

« We enjoyed our stay at Kotel. Good location, good wifi connection. However we would have liked to have had an electric hob as with only a microwave cooking was rather limited. Also not easy to wash up as no plug in the sink. Fortunately there was an ice bucket I could use to wash up!!!. Crockery was also limited to 2 sets only. Had to check with staff on site re disposal of our rubbish as bins not very big. It would also be good that the Kotel staff supply a brush and dustpan for sweeping up the...

« The person at the reception had a very inappropriate behaviour. The welcome was cold, to such a point that we did not stay in the hotel for the diner. Piscine (nice, good temperature), sauna (not warm enough - could not even sweat) Jaccuzzi (out of order). Wifi limited to Whathsapp and Facebok. TV poor quality (channels). Room quite big, good confort with 2 kids, a plus »

« Nous avons passé une nuit sans problème. Un accueil correcte avec toutes les explications nécessaires. L'endroit est magnifique et je propose ce hostel pour un séjour dans la nature. Le parc est magnifique. Coniston est très joli avec ses restaurants et ses s pubs sympa. »
