The best area to stay in Pianissolo itself is the historic centro storico, or old town, as it offers the most authentic local experience and convenient access to the village's amenities. This central area is characterised by its narrow, cobbled streets, pastel-coloured buildings, and small piazzas. You'll find the main church, local trattorias, and a few artisanal shops concentrated here, often just a short walk from the panoramic viewpoints over the Ligurian coastline. It's a compact and pedestrian-friendly area. For couples looking for a romantic and relaxed getaway, staying within the centro storico is ideal. You'll be within easy reach of charming eateries for evening meals and can enjoy leisurely strolls through the historic lanes. The absence of heavy traffic adds to the peaceful atmosphere.Alternatively, for those who prefer a bit more space and perhaps a swimming pool, the immediate outskirts of Pianissolo, particularly properties located into the hillsides just above the centro storico, offer a good balance. These locations generally provide stunning sea views and a more private setting, while still being a short walk or drive from the village centre.

The best time to go to Pianissolo is during the late spring (May-June) and early autumn (September-October) for pleasant weather and fewer crowds.During these months, the temperatures are comfortably warm, typically ranging from 18°C to 25°C, which is ideal for exploring the Ligurian coastline and the surrounding hills. The vineyards are lush in late spring, and the autumn harvest brings a wonderful culinary focus to the region. Many local restaurants are still fully operational, offering fresh, seasonal produce and seafood without the long waits experienced in July and August.Families travelling with children might also appreciate these shoulder seasons.
