The North Scottsdale community of Villages North proved to be a perfect choice -- a beautifully landscaped development with mature trees throughout the property, close to some of Phoenix’s best attractions, and within walking distance to dining and shopping for daily essentials and much more. With the spectacular backdrop of the McDowell Mountain range, this gated community offers a quiet resort-like oasis, with its 4 heated swimming pools and hot tubs, a tennis court and walking paths. Horizon Park is located across the street, offering many amenities such as basketball, tennis, sand volleyball, bike paths and more. Also within walking distance are the Arabian library and the McDowell Heights aquatic center, with its expansive fitness amenities, an outdoor lap pool, water park, skate board park and a variety of other services. The condo unit is the largest model available on the property – a very bright and open plan 2nd floor end unit with 10 foot ceilings located steps away from 2 pool areas, BBQ grills and the tennis court. It is tucked away in the middle of the complex, away from the surrounding streets. It provides over 1600 sq ft of interior living space and two exceptionally large patios that beckon with views of the tree-lined greenbelt – perfect for that outdoor breakfast, an afternoon siesta in a private shaded area, or sunset gazing. The decor has been recently updated to bring a mid century feel with a southwestern flair. Beautiful walnut flooring covers the living and dining rooms, accented by a cozy jute rug. Other upgrades include quality floor tiling and granite counter tops in kitchen, bathroom and entrance areas, stainless steel kitchen appliances, high-end furniture, upgraded fixtures and lighting, 55” flat screen TV entertainment system with HD cable with streaming and a music system in the living room, 39' LED TV in master bedroom, 50" LED TV in the queen bedroom and WiFi throughout. The large kitchen is well equipped and ready to support any adventuresome cooks out there, unless the many fantastic restaurants in the immediate area win you over. The kitchen eating nook seats three comfortably, while the formal dining area travertine table can accommodate 6-8 people. The master bedroom offers a king bed, large ensuite bathroom with double-sinks and a large walk-in shower and a walk-in closet; the 2nd bedroom has a queen bed ensemble and TV; and the third bedroom holds a king bed, convertible to two twin XL beds. You will be able to park your car under a covered spot right in front of the unit – there is also plenty of visitor parking as well. The tennis court is a mere 100 yards away, as are 2 of the 4 large heated pools, each with a spacious deck area, lots of lounge chairs, a hot tub, change room and restroom facilities. If barbecuing is your thing, then fire up those steaks on the gas grills located beside each pool. Don’t have a car? Not a problem! Right across the street from Villages North are two large shopping complexes where you can do your groceries at Safeway or AJ’s, a purveyor of fine foods offering delicious prepared meals, BBQ lunches, fresh sushi from the bar, coffee made to order, and so much more. Other conveniences include restaurants (Flo’s Asian, Starbucks, Pita Jungle, Chipotle, Yoghurtology and several fast food choices), two pharmacies, chic clothing boutiques, spas, banking institutions, to name a few. Everything you need is right here. Whether you are in the area for a longer stay, a brief adventure holiday, or on business, Villages North is absolutely perfectly situated. Some of the area’s best golf courses are minutes away, as are the 101 Freeway, West World, Rawhide, Taliesen West and the Mayo clinic. You can enjoy the unique shopping and atmosphere of Old Town Scottsdale, a mere 15 minute drive from the property, or the professional basketball, football and baseball venues, all about a 30 minutes away. Finally, for our family, being less than 10 minutes away from the McDowell Sonoran Preserve Gateway Trailhead to over 58 miles of trails into the wilderness and beauty of the McDonnell Mountain range was certainly has allowed us to enjoy the best of Arizona’s natural beauty by bike and hiking. So welcome to our place and enjoy. It was very clean, nicely decorated, and the kitchen was incredibly well stocked with everything you could possibly need. The balconies were lovely, and the neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. Although the pools were on the smaller side, they were never busy—we often had them to ourselves. The location is excellent: right off the 101 for easy access anywhere, close to hiking trails, and Horizon Park is just across the street. As a fellow host, details are really important to me. Eva's unit was exceptionally clean and quiet. Her kitchen appointments were better than most homes we've rented. Internet was fast and reliable and she had actual cable channels -- somewhat a rarity with so many rentals offering streaming-only services. Highly recommend. ##### Susan M. Close to AJ’s, other good local restaurants & shopping. Kitchen has everything you need to stay home & cook. Easy to be away for a month without feeling like life was totally interrupted Super friendly and welcoming neighbors. Property managers were available to attend to issue same-day. Barrett Jackson is a walk away! ( arabian horse show also) . Close to the waste mgmt golf also. You can walk to restaurants and stores with the condos are in a very residential setting. The condo was perfectly set up for a long term stay ( 3 months ) . They thought of everything you could possibly need. I did a lot of cooking and baking while there . I did use the pool / hot tub., great set up . We also used the grills. Everyone we did come into contact with was nice . It is a very quiet development overall. The condo was exactly as pictured- very updated and super clean. We loved that it was on the second floor - we never heard the people downstairs . Thank you Eva ! It is in an excellent location close to all kinds of services, restaurants, shopping centers, etc. The condo is also in excellent condition, well furnished, super clean, and just gorgeous with complete kitchen appliances!! The owner, Eva, is very quick to respond and resolve any questions and issues one may have... I will go back to that condo anytime... ##### SAM A. We highly recommend this property! This spacious unit is in a quiet, conveniently-located, nicely-maintained complex with a heated pool that is kept very clean. Furnishings are tasteful and up-to-date, and the beds are very comfortable. (Love those big pillows in the master bedroom!). We did a lot of cooking at the condo and found the kitchen to be VERY well equipped, with lots of dishes, utensils, and cookware, and a new high-efficiency washer & dryer. Sitting out on the deck in late afternoon was delightful, with seating in both sun and shade. For catching up with the rest of the world, wifi and TV cable service were very reliable. And last but not least, it was really a pleasure working with Eva, the unit owner, who is very professional, helpful, and prompt in returning emails. The local property managers are friendly and very responsive as well. All in all, it was a wonderful vacation and we definitely hope to return. Thank you so much, Eva! ##### Paul and Susan S.
