Host phone was and remains disconnected. Host name was actually Anthony not Jiciana as listed. No checkin information prior to showing up only to find front door and apt door unlocked in not the best area of west philly. Diapers in the trash, vaping salts in the closet, dirty dishes and sheets and old food in the fridge. Stayed in a hotel the first night. Finally heard from host at 8pm already checkedin to the hotel. Told me the wrong apartment was listed. Stayed in the upstairs unit. Overall clean but not a deep clean cause there was hair that wasn't mine on the linens and floor. Thinnest cheapest linens with rips in the towels. Deck had yellow jacket nest and splinted untreated wood although in that area a deck was a novel addition. Power went out on the second day. Temp inside reached 87F. As a patient who rented this place to be close to the hospital, it compromised my health. Owner asked the day before the power went out if my electric was on. Sus. He used my medical condition to call the electric company to restore power by the next day. I notified VRBO of all of this and they credited me for the hotel stay but straight out lied in an email saying there were no other available rentals in the area. Which is 100% untrue. Owner agreed to let me stay a couple days longer due to my delayed treatment. I was too weak from chemo to arrange anything on my own. Needless to say, I do not recommend this place and that 1 five star rating is not accurate.
