"The breakfast was okay. The staff was very helpful. I understand the hotel is in the Downtown area but I wish the hotel looked better on the outside and inside. The pictures of the inside did not do it any justice. If it wasn't for the helpful staff we would have been totally disappointed . It also helped that we were able to get a shuttle to our cruise drop off. If back in the Tampa area, we won't stay here again despite the helpful staff. "

"DO NOT BOOK MINT HOUSE thru Expedia. We could not access the property after 3 failed attempts to contact Mint House standing outside the property for over one hour in 90 degree weather in Tampa, Florida. They do not accept Expedia's Itinerary number and would only honor their booking number which was never given to us by Expedia. Two other people outside the property had the same problem and they both acknowlege booking thru Expedia. We had to book another hotel last minute in the area. BE WARNED!!!! Very disappointed at Expedia"

"I had a really good stay here overall! When I first arrived to check in, the front‑desk lady wasn’t the friendliest and didn’t offer much information or suggestions. I arrived earlier than the normal check‑in time, and even though I had requested early check‑in, the room wasn’t ready — which I completely understood. The issue wasn’t the wait, it was her attitude and lack of communication, which wasn’t very inviting. After that, everything went much better. My toilet wasn’t flushing properly and the sink wasn’t draining, but as soon as I called the front desk, maintenance came right away and took care of it with no problem. I must say the shower isn't always hot. The rest of the staff truly made the stay shine. The lady and gentleman working the pool bar were extremely attentive, friendly, and helpful — they both provided great service. The bartenders in the lounge area were also very nice and welcoming. My room was clean, comfortable, and perfect for relaxing. And the location? Amazing. Just steps from most events in Ybor and super close to the free trolley, which made getting around so easy. Even with the check‑in hiccup, I would definitely stay here again and recommend it"
