Rooms were quiet, well appointed, price matched the expectation I had. Staff was excellent especially the lady who ran the breakfast bar in the morning, she was very accommodating, well organized, took a lot of pride in her work. Overall great experience, when in the area I will stay at this property.

The hotel was so clean! It was off the highway so it was also quiet. The breakfast was great - healthy and fresh options. The staff were friendly and very helpful. I will stay here again when in town for horse shows.

Things I liked: -The area was quiet. -Shopping, and dining choices, were close enough to walk to if you liked. -The room looked, smelled, and felt clean. -Nice big tv in the room. Things I did not like: -The bathroom soap dispenser was broken. Easy fix to just use the shower soap bottle. -The bed, and pillows, were way to soft for my liking. (This is just my preference)

New hotel with friendly staff. The furnishings are "spare," i.e., no closets, no armchair in the room. I didn't consider that a negative, however, because there were plenty of hooks and hangers in the room, and the furnishing were quite nice. Good bed. Good breakfast buffet. In short, a good mid-price hotel.

I always stay at the Avid, their service is great and rooms are always clean. The only issue this time was water has to run for 5 mins before it becomes warm.

I only gave it 3 stars on cleanliness because our room did have ants. But the hotel did make it right by quickly moving us to a nearby clean room. The rooms otherwise are very clean and new. Our kids loved the indoor pool, breakfast was great and staff were accommodating.

Nice no frills property. Staff was excellent. Room was clean. Common areas were on the grimy side. Room a/c unit was pretty noisy but bed and pillows were comfy.

The cleaning of the elevator was desperately needed and the bathroom floors need a scrub. The breakfast attendant need to be more attentive and not talking so much. Milk, oj and other foods ran out and wasn’t replaced till someone said something.

Great Place To Stay!!!
Great place!!! This was our first time staying in this hotel. We come up to Perry that weekend for a paintball tournament we participated in and we'll be staying here from now on when we come to Perry for future paintball tournaments. Everything was clean, the rooms were great (including the bathrooms), the beds slept comfortable, the breakfast had many options to choose from, the staff were friendly and helpful. Great place to stay!!!

Hello Everyone, I have now stayed at the Avid four times since last spring. All of the stays are related to temporary work assignments in the area. One may ask if I have a problem with the hotel why do I stay there? Simple. It is a new hotel, with very reasonable pricing, well laid out, spacious parking, and easily accessible to numerous restaurants, a grocery store and the highway. What is my problem with the hotel? The desk staff is friendly, professional and responsive. It is the cleaning staff that I have an issue with. Most guests are tourists resting overnight while traveling or transient workers like myself. Many of the workers are employed on construction sites and frequently have dirt, mud and debris on their clothing when returning to the hotel. The rooms are cleaned daily but have linoleum floors. They frequently trap fine dust that is picked up by your feet and noticed when you get a shower and see the stains leaving your feet. The room floors need to be swept and mopped on a daily basis. But this is nothing compared to the other areas of the hotel. I don't think the hallways, elevator floors, or stairwells are ever cleaned. The layer of dust on the bannisters in the rear stairwell show that it has not been touched in months or years. The ground in dirt in the carpets is more than enough proof of lack of cleaning. I am not sure what the cleaning staff are told but they seemingly only visit the rooms, nothing else. They need a good cleaning staff manager!

Very convenient location, Near Walmart, Sports Center and restaurants. Room 206 was very clean, especially the bathroom. Bed and pillows comfy, plenty of space in room, no weird, musty smells. Outside of hotel clean, with plenty of lighting at night. This was our 2nd stay at this hotel. The state fair was going on, so hotel was very busy. The friendly staff kept breakfast replenished. With many guest coming and leaving the hotel, the staff made you feel like you were the only ones there. Love this hotel!!

Room was very small. The white towels were so dingy and dirty. Only gave one towel per person. Asked for more but the ones they brought weren’t usable due to black stains and dirty looking. Asked for a wake up call and the girl at the front desk stated they do all their wake up calls at 7:30 am. So I said, everyone wakes up at the same time? Then she asked me what time I wanted it for. Told her 8:15. She said okay she would put it in the notes. The next morning I didn’t receive the wake up call so I called and the manager said the notes showed 8:15 pm. Really? Who sleeps until 8:15 pm at night?!
