"Oh wow! What a surprise! Truthfully, I was not expecting much, but the price was right and for one night, that was pretty much my deciding factor, for a downtown location. I was actually anticipating a kind of run-down, old hotel in a backwater WV town. It was beautiful. My room was really nice, and it. was. spotless. Tons of free parking on-site. The front desk was super helpful in finding a place to eat. If I had *any* complaint at all, it was the in-hotel bar was closed by the time I got there. Other than that, I was really pleased. I would definitely stay again."

"This was a charming and comfortable base for biking and hiking in the Canaan Valley and areas beyond. We appreciated both the privacy of the bedrooms and the ample space in the living/dining room and kitchen. Nice views off the balcony, easy to use hot tub added to our enjoyment of the property."

"Heat worked great. The baja restaurant next door had great food. Its quiet and peaceful. After hours check in went well. No issues. If I'm ever down that way again, I plan on saying there again. "

"The bathroom fan, which was also the light, sounded like a motorcycle chopper. The floor above sounded like someone was going to fall through the ceiling. The bed was comfortable but the sheets were rough. The breakfast was pretty much non existent. We were pretty disappointed."
