The smell of sewage when you first walk in was overwhelming. Almost worthy of turning back around and changing your mind. Alas, it was late so we pushed through it hoping our room wouldn’t smell. Check in was okay. Everything is done by hand. No computers. The Woman at the front desk was nice but aloof. When we asked how to get to the Eiffel Tower, she said “find the busy street and let her guide you.” The room was fine, probably spacious when compared to other rooms in Paris. The smell of sewage fills the lobby, stairs and halls. It’s impossible to ignore. The worst part is the security. You have to leave your keys with the front desk anytime towable because it’s an actual key and they don’t trust that we won’t lose it. Here’s the WORST PART- when you walk back in, they don’t ask you for your id to get the key- even when you’ve never seen the people at the front desk. I had two male front desk attendants just hand me the key when I said our room number. They didn’t even ask me for my name!!! We also set the button on the door to “do not disturb” (yes it’s a button!!) and they STILL ENTERED THE ROOM to clean. Overall I wouldn’t stay here. Location is convenient to food and a 12 minute walk to the Eiffel Tower so I’d look for another place nearby.
