"Nice basic hotel with minimal services. "
Unfortunately my flight from Tortola BVI to St. Maarten was late and I arrived after the 12 pm closing of the reception. However. a young couple staying there heard me and let me in the courtyard. They located someone to assist and I got into my room. The room was quite comfortable and the enclosed area of the hotel pleasant and clean. The location was close to the centre of Marigot. A bakery and Creole restaurant were very close by. I had a car but a bus station is allocated nearby for trips into Philipsburg and elsewhere on the island. Also, a McDonald's and a large grocery store are close by. A laundrymat, pharmacy and a couple of small markets are within a few minutes. The room was not cleaned each day, but there was soap, shampoo and a very nice to well. I had every thing I needed.

Hevea Hotel

The Hevea is an old, creole house that has been done up quite magically and the rates are really good. We stayed in the spacious Armandier room. We relaxed, enjoyed the ambiance, the beautiful beach and the fantastic restaurants in Grand Case. This hotel has rules designed to make your stay pleasant (the English version made me smile and can do with a bit of editing!!) . There are many beach chair providers and unless they are super busy, they would let you have a chair if you order a drink (or two). The Laurier (where my daughter stayed) is much smaller and the people in the passage can be heard.

"Amazing find, great staff, perfect rooms with view"
My husband and I just returned from our honeymoon here. We absolutely loved everything about this place. From the moment we arrived staff were so attentive and professional and kind. They are happy to be there and it's nice to see how people that work there are all close and just laid back and happy. Everything about the hotel is well thought out, comforting and creative. Every room faces the ocean. The rooms have really cool showers where you can see the ocean from inside and rainfall shower heads. Everything is new and beds are comfy. The picture don't to the restaurant bar space justice. It's really a secret garden type feel, set back from the street and half covered, half open air with a fountain and hanging chairs and it's a really relaxing space. The beach is lovely and the beach chairs are new and clean and comfortable. We knew we would like it here, but it exceeded our expectations.

"Beautiful Location, Great Experience"
We were so happy with our stay at the Love residence...the room was just as pictured on the website, we had a gorgeous ocean front suite. It was wonderful to hear the waves washing over the beach at night, and even better to open the doors in the morning to take in the great view. The drinks at the bar were superb (we especially enjoyed the Pink Sangria) and the breakfast served in the morning was perfect; we really liked how eggs were made to order! The best part of the hotel was just sitting at the bar overlooking the gorgeous beach and taking it all in....can't wait to stay again!

"Nice, quaint, hotel on the beach."
This is our first time to visit St. Maarten, and we loved it!! Love Hotel is clean and wonderful. The friendly staff is fabulous, always willing to help with anything that is needed. They will even wait on you while you're sitting on their comfortable beach chairs, enjoying their beautiful beach. (The pitchers of Sangria are delicious!) Looking forward to visiting them again!

"Lovely Boutique Hotel in Grand Case"
This is my third time at Blue Emeraude and I absolutely love it. Right on the beach with spacious apartment units. I have stayed in the 1 Bedroom and 2 Bedroom units and they are both great. The hotel provides a continental breakfast daily for no charge. There are lounge chairs and umbrellas on the beach. There are only about 10 rooms in this little hotel and the staff is there in the mornings and late afternoons until about 7:30 PM. Frederick and Maya are great and will handle any of your transportation needs. This is not the hotel for those looking for a bar, gym and a lot of action. This hotel is for anyone looking for a spectacular view, large accommodations, and walking distance to fabulous restaurants. I can't wait to be back again next year.

"Nice hotel overlooking Marigot's sailboat harbor"
Within walking distance of downtown Marigot, a plus. The "free parking" is somewhat acrobatic but manageable. Very nice staff. In tune with the surroundings. Street side not very appealing (don't judge a book by its cover), but water side exposed to afternoon/evening sun very relaxing after whole day at the beach.

"Perfect Destination Wedding"
This hotel deserves all the positive reviews. I read the few negatives reviews and worried it might be too small and downtrodden. Between booking and arrival and I was delighted to find the resort was small, provincial and homey-in a GOOD way! Pros- 1. on site wedding is easy to do. We had 6 people total, not a large group, though there is a canopied area that can hold a larger party. 2.beach area is clean and waves are calm. At the end of high season there were always people around us but not too crowded. Able to get loungers together with our friends every day we were there. 3. Yuri provides great beachside service, including free access to float mats, noodles, snorkeling mask, kayaks and paddle boards, all easy to use on the calm bay. The desk also provides easy access to paid excursions. The catamaran even comes to pick you up right from the hotel beach! 4. Grounds and housekeeping were Friday. Rena even brought us flowers on our wedding day! The property is gated and has overnight security, though it seemed unnecessary for folks who take reasonable precautions. 5. Was slightly worried some rooms would be out of date but ours had newer tile flooring, open shower area, which was convenient for swim days. 6. Hotel operates on European plugs sobering a converter or rent one from the gift shop. 7. Renovated pool area was great, had a jetted seating area and beach entry. 8. Met folks each day who had have years of staying at GCBC and I hope we can too.

"Don't change a thing"
My wife and I have been vacationing on St. Maarten for 15 years, and this was our first time at this resort. The staff are very nice and helpful. They have two great restaurants, one on the beach and one fine dining on the resort. We stayed for seven days which was perfect. During most days we were on the beach which was a three minute walk from our cottage. The CoCo restaurant has great food, friendly staff and the chairs and umbrellas are free to guests of the hotel. In the evening we ate a few meals at the Astrolabe Restaurant on the property, which has now become one of our favorites. The Astrolabe has great food, exceptional service and atmosphere. Orient Village is a 10 minute walk down the street, and very safe. In the village, we enjoyed our pick of over a dozen restaurants and bars. And if that was not enough, our room was adjacent to a pool we shared with three other rooms. What a great vacation.
