"Very decent hotel with a nice breakfast and clean rooms. 90 seconds walk to the private beach/swimming pool.
The only minor negatives were tiny sachets of shampoo and fair water pressure, although there was plenty of hot water.
Overall, very good value for money in a superb location."

"Nice quiet location off the main road a little and away from the bars closer to the beach. Staff were super friendly and met lots of cool travellers. The food at their main pub area was really good also. Only complaint would be the door knob was very squeaky in my room.
Other than that, I would stay again if in Moalboal. "

"Great hostel. Our room was clean, air con worked well. Drinking water provided. The hostel is social without being a party hostel, they’ve got the balance just right. The pool and swim up bar were great. Really enjoyed our time here, would definitely recommend. "

"Our stay at the Backyard Inn was nothing short of a nightmare. The experience felt like actually sleeping outside with the chickens. The pod smelled of chicken waste, the sink didn’t drain, and the noise was unbearable—constant chicken noises, roosters crowing, and no peace or quiet to rest. We couldn’t wait to leave.
The only saving grace was the staff, who were friendly and helpful, but that does not make up for the dreadful conditions. I would never stay here again. Avoid this place unless...

"We were double booked and could not stay at our original booked destination, which took very long to find due to no signs at all. There were 3 of us that had a booked and they moved us to there secondary place which was unfit for 3 men with only a double and a single bed together. The place was in terrible condition for what we paid. We ended up finding another place to stay at and have not not been contacted to be refunded after a formal letter was sent out. Do not book with talisay point...
