Paita es una ciudad peruana capital de la provincia de Paita en el departamento de Piura en el extremo Noroeste del Per. Se encuentra ubicada a orillas del Ocano Pacfico a 57 km de la ciudad de Piura. Posee el tercer puerto ms importante del Per, despus de El Callao y Matarani. Es la decimosexta ciudad ms poblada del pais. Cuenta con una poblacin estimada de 95 309 habitantes para el ao 2015.1 Debido a su situacin geogrfica posee un clima clido y hmedo durante todo el ao y su temperatura promedio anual es de 22.8 C.
