Perfect start to our hawaiian vacation
Our flight was delayed, luggage late, we were so tired and wondering what else could go wrong. But instructions to the VRBO lication and access were perfect, and the place is adorable. Such sweet touches like fan folded towels helped us unwind. Yes, there is traffic that you hear, but no loud city noises. Everything worked fine, with the exception of a slightly "sticky" screen door. But that's common in tropical weather. We definitely recommend this sweet place.

Great location cute unit
This place was quite comfortable and spacious. We certainly enjoyed our stay. My communication with the owners was great before we arrived very responsive. The bed is comfortable and having AC on 80° days is perfect. The location is terrific close to the restaurant,a perfect beach to walk to, and Paia town a short drive away. The location is a drawback as well. You are sitting behind Mama’s Fish House and you hear all the deliveries in the morning, also, this is a very busy street out front so don’t forget your earplugs. They do have a noise canceling machine in the bedroom and that helps. We would both definitely stay here again and bring friends we like the place a lot. 🐡🐢🐢

My husband, daughter and I stayed here the night before flying home and after driving the road to Hana. It was much larger than I expected and close to Mama’s where we were lucky enough to have dinner without a reservation.

Perfect location in Maui
The location is a great place to stay near the airport, close to a cute little beach. The only thing I wish I would have known ahead is to make reservations to a world famous fish house located steps away. The food looked delicious. Otherwise it is a mile down the road from many great restaurants and shops. The unit has everything we needed to stay and enjoy the beach.

Cute older unit in nice location with easy parking and good wi fi. My only issue were that there were quite a few cockroaches in the unit - I know you have to expect bugs in a tropical climate but we didn’t run across this in the 3 other places we stayed at.

Roaches, bad Wifi
We rented this unit with the intention of cooking our own meals, and having a decent place to sleep. However we encountered roaches every day during our stay. They appeared in the toilet and the kitchen, which was an unpleasant surprise. We ended up skipping on making our own meals as a result, and didn't sleep well either. We notified the owners the first day, and they responded saying they'll come check it out but nothing happened afterwards nor an effort was made to make it right. Also, the Wi-Fi was miserably bad. Even after resetting the modem and router, it was very slow and unstable on all our devices, so we ended up having to pay for our mobile hotspot instead. On the plus side, the location and neighborhood is close to Hana hwy and many points of interest.

Exceeded my expectations
We had an amazing start to our honeymoon here. Check in was easy which was great as we arrived late. Location is 10/10. Very short drives to the popular Baldwin and Hookipa beaches as well as Paia town. Also can walk to Kuau cove - which is a quiet little beach with turtles! And the location of the delicious mamas fish house! Also perfect location for an early Road to Hana start. Host supplied everything we needed like beach towels, beach mats, umbrellas, even a cooler. Only negative I can say at all is there is a bit of a small ant/insect issue in the bathroom

Cute place, great location
This worked well for our family. It’s close to a very cute/small beach with lots of turtles as well as mamas fish house - great food! We easily hopped on the Road to Hana from here and also easily travelled to Haleakala national park.

Our Hub for Hana!
We had an excellent stay at the North Shore beach shack! It was the hub for our excursions to Hana followed by a special lunch at Mama’s fish house. The AC was heavenly and we had the best night sleep. The property owner was extremely helpful and flexible! This was the PERFECT property for our family of three.

Spotless, Excellently Located Gem
Loved our stay at Emalia’s property. The listing is modest compared to the reality of this great apartment. Super clean stylish and so close to Pa’ia with its cool vibe and great shops and restaurants. Beach access was fantastic. The little cove had countless turtles in the water and on our second evening they were basking on the sand. So thrilling. The apartment had everything we could possibly need. Wish we could have stayed longer as it was really wonderful. Highly recommend this lovely apartment.

Amazing rental with short-walk-beach-access and a jump start on the road to Hana. We very much enjoyed Paia town and the flat was very comfortable and clean. We would definitely try to stay here on our next trip to Maui.

Nice place in a great location. Easy to find in the dark when arriving in the evening. The place is lived in but clean and very comfortable. One of the best beds we’ve slept in in years. Highly recommended. Mahalo!

Views, rainbows, turtles and more.
Great spot for daytrip down Hana Highway, use of Mama's Fish House beach (but make your reservation many months in advance if you plan to eat there) and good access to rest of east Maui as well. Just a few minute to beach access and spot to see the sun setting over central Maui. Paia town is charming and beaches along Kahalui and Paia coast offer amazing views when clear. Ho'okipa Beach Park just up the road promises lots of turtles.

Great Location
We had only one night to stay here. Kitchen was fully stocked. We shopped in Paia, went to the beach that was a 3 minute walk, they provide two beach chairs and walked to Mamas Fish house. I’d stay again.

Loved the area
Access to the Mamas beach cove was the best part of our stay. We went every day to whale watch and count the number of green sea turtles. Traffic noise was noticeable. A few maintenance items reported to owners. Paia is a lovely little town with shopping and good restaurants. Mamas Fish House is as good as advertised.

Great Location! The property is a little outdated. It looks adorable in the pictures but its a little more run down in person. Had an issue opening the door but was able to contact the owner and it was as simple as turing the handle up not down, so if you go, turn the handle on the front door up to open. Overall a decent place in a good location.

Although this condo is a little dated, it’s incredibly clean and nicely decorated. The bed was super comfortable the pillows like new the couches in the living room very comfortable and it had everything you needed to make your stay very comfortable. We only stayed one night here but we felt very at home.

The condo was in a great location, just a 4 minute drive from Paia, a 15 minute walk to a beach with turtles, and a great spot to start the road to Hana early in the am. The condo itself was cute, spacious, clean, and comfortable. Perfect place to rest our heads. Mahalo for the great stay!

Great property and location.
This was our third island/property to stay at on our trip and we really enjoyed this one. Good location between Paia and Ho’okipa Beach and an easy drive to the airport. The private parking spot is a plus. The ac unit in the living room made some weird noise which caused my wife to have to work in the bedroom and me to sleep in the living room for a few hours so she could take her conference calls, but it wasn’t a turn off for our stay. We would definitely stay here again.

Positives - clean and well appointed kitchen Negatives - OMG right on the highway and SO noisy. Couldn't sleep. Tried the couch in the living room but the air conditioner also SO loud couldn't sleep there either. Since overall we mainly wanted to explore the north and sleep in the unit it was a disaster for us.

Road to Hana
This was a great location to start road to Hana as we were only in Maui 2 nights! Right by mamas fish house too which was amazing. There were small ants in the kitchen/bathroom area and the bedroom ac had issues the first night where we had to keep resetting the breaker in order for it to work. Also blinds in the bedroom didn’t shut all the way so the light that was on outside shined in all night.

Great location for our needs
This vacation rental was exactly what we needed. It has a small kitchen, sitting area, balcony with sunrise views, and a comfortable bedroom. We arrived fairly late in the evening and this is just a few minutes from the airport. We went to Haleakala volcano to hike the next day, then over to Costco and Safeway to buy supplies for our time in Hana, returned to the apartment to clean up and then walked over to Mama's Fish House for a delicious dinner. This was central to everything we wanted to do. The next morning we jumped on to the Road to Hana right out of the parking lot. This place was convenient, clean and comfortable!
