![Diablo Lake is a reservoir in the North Cascade mountains of northern Washington state, United States. Created by Diablo Dam, the lake is located between Ross Lake and Gorge Lake on the Skagit River at an elevation of 1,201 feet (366 m) above sea level.
The unique, intense turquoise hue of the lake's water is attributed to the surrounding glaciers that grind rocks into a fine powder that is carried into the lake through creeks. « The property is located in a quiet neighborhood. There is no property parking but street parking was easy to find. Local establishments (restaurants, bars, etc.) are only a few blocks away. We walked to several very easily. The host was friendly, quick to respond and very accommodating. The unit itself was one of the cleanest suites I have ever stayed in, and I have stayed in over 200 cities. Bathroom was relatively large and extremely clean. « This was our 2nd stay, and definitely not our last! It's the perfect place to sleep before catching an early flight. Diana is an excellent host. The room is exceptionally clean and comfortably decorated. My only suggestion is that she not use scented items, i.e., laundry soap, dryer sheets, etc. The smell in the room may be appealing to some, but for others, especially scent sensitive, it's too strong. »
