Ordinary kind of old

I cannot say it was an amazing experience. Room was ok. Bathroom was ok clean not very clean. There was hair on my towels. I was also charged for wifi i never used!!

Pros: Everything from comfort of rooms, location, friendly service.
The employees at this hotel were extremely warm and friendly. They also were knowledgeable of the area, and made great food suggestions.

great downtown hotel

Pros: Restaurant special - lobster mac and cheese was excellent and copious - lots of lobster pieces!
Cons: Window in room was quite small and looked onto a wall. Room was very dark as a result.
Location: Close to Arts Centre - right downtown.
free glass of wine - a very nice touch. Free green apples in bowl - another nice touch free coffee in morning.

Only a 3 Star Hotel

Pros: Staff were friendly
Cons: Heating/cooling system, elevators, soundproofing, beds.
Location: Close to parliament, Supreme Court, walking distance to Byward Market.
The room was very small and not upscale nor was the rest of the hotel. The heating/cooling is very loud and you can hear neighbors conversations through the wall. The room was stifling hot but the cooling fan was so loud that it kept me from sleeping. The elevator is painfully slow. The bed was lumpy and lighting insufficient. It is NOT a 4 star hotel.

Staff was exceptional, took a while for the water to get warm in the shower but the friendly staff made this experience awesome. Would definatly go back

Nice place, but lacking in a few areas

Pros: the bed was very comfortable. and it was the closest to our destination venue
Cons: Make it known sooner that it only has valet parking. Get rid of the scent machine in the lobby. Would have like a included breakfast or at least a dis

The bathroom was awkwardly small. and finally why does it say wifi is free when you are connecting to it then there is a internet charge on your bill at check out? But all that said, the bed was very comfortable.

Pros: Very pleasant staff and great restaurant. Room was comfortable and moderat in size.
Cons: Not much room to park for arriving on a busy thoroughfare and the parking was quite expensive. A little noisy on occasion.

Locking your door doesn't stop anyone!

The front desk staff who checked us in was super nice. But it goes down hill from there. Lack of parking was an issue and having to walk a far distance was not pleasant considering I'm 7months pregnant. The room was very small and had a view of a disgusting alley full of dumpsters. The maid walked into our room at 745am and was irritated that we were still there (check out is at noon). She then stood in our room while my husband and I are in bed asking us when we plan to leave. I couldn't have felt more uncomfortable and unwelcome. I paid a lot of money for that crappy room how dare she barge in and ask when we are leaving. During check out the front desk tried to charge us for the room even though I had paid in full online the week before. I had to prove to them showing my bank statement and Expedia email that I did pay in advance. They were not nice about it. I will never go back.
