Classic Kiwi Bach at Otaki Beach. Pet and Family Friendly!

Our original Health camp road farm house is warm and cosy and just a short walk to Otaki beach.
The house features a fireplace, 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, 2 toilets and two living areas.
The kitchen is well equipped with all your basic appliances including an electric jug/kettle, toaster, rice cooker and stick wizz. It also has a freestanding oven, a dishwasher and large fridge freezer. We also have a children's high chair available. There is a seperate laundry which you are welcome to use.

The house has 2x queen beds, a bunk bed and a cot, plus an additional portacot and fold out sofa bed in the conservatory.
Accommodating up to 6 people plus 2 infants.
Please note the bathroom in this house is small so keep this in mind when booking for a large group. However there are two toilets.

Relax in the sunny lounge / conservatory with a book, while the children enjoy our selection of games and toys. Or soak up the sun out on the lawn where we have an outdoor table and chairs ready for you to relax. The outdoor area is family and pet friendly and is fully fenced. There is also a playground a couple of hundred metres away around the corner and Otaki beach store where you can pick up some fish and chips or enjoy an ice cream on your walk home from the beach.
With our full office set up you can work from home (but at the beach). Making this the perfect work life balance getaway

Pets Policy:
The property is fully fenced.
We know how important it can be to have your pet join you on holiday. It's just not the same without them. We are happy to accept pets with prior approval. There is a pet fee of $30.
Please let us know when you book if you plan on bringing a pet or you maybe refused at check in.
There are spare dog bowls, pet towels, one medium dog bed and a bucket in the laundry for your pets use. Please do not use the kitchen crockery for your pets.
Please keep pets off the beds and furniture. Thank you

Smoking Policy:
Smoking is allowed OUTSIDE only, please dispose of your butts sensibly in the Paua shells. Please do not smoke in the house. If it is found that you have been smoking an extra cleaning fee will be added to your booking.

We are sustainability focused and offer a 4 way waste system. Including a compost bin, Recycling, soft plastics and rubbish. Plus sort your rubbish as best you can as we don't pay for wheelie bin pick up due to not always being able to put it out every fortnight. The bins are located behind the white gate beside the garage.

Great Spot.

Great location only 50 minutes from Wellington, the house suited the whole family and the dog. Easy walking distance to the beach and the forest area.Would certainly stay again.

Short Getaway Last Minute

Property was very clean great location. Had everything we needed. Was great to be able to take our dog. There was an issue with the internet but the owners had it fixed within an hour of us advising them which was absolutely fantastic and well above our expectations.

Ōtaki Beach House

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The whare was large enough to cater to our whānau of 8. Well-equipped and we were especially grateful for the a/c as it was very warm while we were in Ōtaki. Ideally located with plenty for the kids to do. Great communication with Vickyĵn. Anyone who stays here will enjoy it!

Family Stay in Otaki

Initially, seeing the house online, it seemed to tick all the boxes of being spacious, having an outdoor area, a park nearby and be close to the beach. We were pleasantly surprised and rapt to see that the boxes indeed were right to be ticked. The house had a good, calm feeling about it and it felt like a home away from home. The space and garden area meant everyone had a space that they enjoyed. Thank you for a memorable weekend stay and we will definitely be back. For the cost of a night at a hotel we got a home that provided us with everything we needed. Our host Vicky, was amazing, answering any queries and making sure we did not want for anything.And now that I have found the helmets, we will definitely be riding the bikes, next time. Well worth it.

Great location for a wedding down the road.

We stayed here for a wedding across the state Highway at The Milk Station. It was amazing. Fire wood was provided and fully stocked which heated the main areas so well. There was extra bedding, 3 bedrooms, heaps of space in-doors and out-doors, and toys for my 6 month old and my nephew and nieces to visit. Traveling with a little one can be stressful but staying here took away some of that pressure as they had a portacot, cutlery, toys, a washing machine and all the essentials. It was a home away from home. Thank you so much Vicky for having us and making our trip from Tauranga a little easier. 💕

Affordable stay in Otaki

We had planned a memorial for my grandmother who passed away during lockdown and we only just got the family together recently to have a "funeral". The house was clean enough altough some more attention to this, specifically the shower is needed. On the day of the memorial, the owner messaged me saying the property manager drove past the "other day" and noticed a camper van had been there for a few days. This shocked us as the campervan had only arrived that nirning and was only here as some of my family had to travel from a long way and bought their camper to break up the trip on the way here and on the way home. Other then the above, we had a really nice time and were lucky to find such an affordable place to stay and it was big enough for everyone that was staying. Thank you :-)
