    The space
The story of 14 Oaks Ranch is as unique as the property itself. Its name captures the 14 Oaks chosen by each of the 14 siblings of the owner Pat Murphy's family from the hundreds of majestic oak trees nestled amid the rolling hills of this secluded getaway. Pat was raised in Los Angeles, fifth of 14 siblings. The ranch embodies Pat's love of family, country living and Southern hospitality.

Share morning coffee talk on the porch or under Mary's Oak. Take a morning stroll to the grotto; a mile walk to the front gate passing the animal pastures.

Enjoy the gorgeous sunsets amidst the cool breeze of the porch or Oak trees. Star gaze at the firepit after an evening of card and dice games, charades, or maybe a family or team talent show night.

Days can include safari-style animal feeding (zebras, alpaca, buffalo, camel, cattle), shuffleboard, horseshoes, bocce, cowboy golf, creek hikes. Operations Director Terry Greene can guide you to native Indian grinding holes, gold-rush waterworks or give you a ride to the eagle’s nest, or catch-and-release pollywogging, west African style.
