I really love staying here. It is so quaint to get the room key and check in from the diner. The diner has some great sfaff and the food is very filling. They make your food when you order it. It's nice to have good food that's not fast food. The prices are very reasonable as well.

All we needed was a place for the night to sleep as we are traveling from Toronto to Myrtle Beach.
Pros
-Good price.
-Friendly staff.
-Easy check in.
-Good location to highway and dining options.
Cons
-Under renovation (arrived at 8pm and construction above our room was still going).
-Shower head had never been cleaned. Nasty black film around it.
-Lack of outlets for charging devices.
-Bed was stiff and uncomfortable (others may like that).

This property is beautiful inside and out with only the finest furnishings in every room. The beds are super comfortable and the owner has not missed any detail in making sure every room is equipped with anything anyone could want. It's a bed and breakfast but feels much more like a high-end country inn overlooking gorgeous Virginia scenery. Hill Crest is charming, full of history and comfortable - all at the same time. The owner/host is an excellent chef and makes incredibly delicious...

Hiking trails in the nearby George Washington and Jefferson National Forests are also more comfortable before the summer heat sets in.
Autumn brings cooler temperatures, typically between 10°C and 20°C, and the region is famous for its vibrant fall foliage. This season is great for nature lovers and solo travellers looking for a peaceful escape. The changing leaves create spectacular scenery for photography, and the crisp air is ideal for exploring the numerous trails, such as those around Carvins Cove Natural Reserve, which is a short drive away.
