Ebb Tide Oceanfront Inn

Ebb Tide Oceanfront Inn

10/10 Excellent
"The rooms and amenities are a little dated, but they were comfortable and served their purpose well. This was our first trip with our 10-month-old, and having a kitchenette made it much easier to prepare his meals. The room was also very spacious, which gave our baby plenty of space to move around. Breakfast was fairly standard and nothing special. However, we really liked the location—the hotel is right next to the beach, with a paved path nearby for walking and biking. We had an ocean-facing room and really enjoyed the beautiful views. I was slightly concerned about the airflow in the room, so we kept the windows open at night. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Overall, it was a convenient and comfortable place for our first trip with the baby."

"This hotel is right off Hwy 101, yes you may want ear plugs for sleeping. There was nibht road construction that we weren't prepared for that noise. I had ear plugs good thing. No blow dryer in bathroom. I'm sure I could have asked for one, but inconvenient and fortunately could let my hair dry during breakfast. The breakfast is egss, sausage, biscuits and gravy, cereals, bread/bagals, yogurt - decent for sure. The Hot tub wasn't hot enough so we didn't use. Hotels need to keep at least at 101 degrees or bacteria issues. It was below that I am absolutely sure (I have a hot tub). Pool was decent and adult usage until midnight (kids til 10 pm) a great plus. Check out is like noon or 12:30 pm so that was awesome (with a 4 pm check in). Overall, I'd stay in this hotel again. Walk is down hill (paved) a few blocks to the beach and you have to walk uphill the way back, remember. But we're in shape for seniors and not an issue for us, otherwise its a few blocks to drive to the beach."

"I am in an electric wheelchair so I called ahead of our trip like normal. The staff was very helpful letting me know there is not an elevator at this hotel. They reserved us a room on the first floor and marked it "DO NOT MOVE" It was great! Easy to maneuver in the building and room. Also, the air conditioner worked perfectly, and the bed was cozy. There was a little wear and tear that we expected at this price point, but we are very happy with our choice! Thanks, Pam"

"We really liked our stay . The staff was great at checking in, the room was cute and had good amenities. Our balcony was Oceanside overlooking the beach. The restaurant on-sight is the Mist and we had very good food for dinner and breakfast- reasonably priced. We did not make use of the indoor heated pool, hot tub or exercise room. I believe there was a game room off from the lobby we also did not use. There is a nice space on the parking lot side that has benches, vegetation and fire pits. We enjoyed our quiet room, viewed the sunset, played cards by the patio door and watched a large group gather for a fire on the beach outside our upper level room."

Promenade Inn & Suites Oceanfront

Promenade Inn & Suites Oceanfront

"Great staff, clean room, parking was good and the location was great. This hotel was directly on the promenade with ocean views from some rooms and direct access to the beach. Very walkable area to shopping, restaurants, bars and breweries. The downsize was our room was directly across from the elevator and ice machine. It was fairly noisy until 9:45pm then again 1:00am. We had a super cheap rate and didn't push for saying not to be close to these two areas like I normally would have requested. Lesson learned-it doesn't hurt to ask at any rate."

"The problem, and for me it was a major problem, was that when we entered the room it reeked of a perfumed spray. I immediately had trouble breathing, and my chest hurt badly. We opened both windows and the door all the way for close to a half hour, and I kept walking outside to breathe so my chest didn't hurt. I don't have asthma...it was horrible. I went to the office and told the clerk. She just shrugged. No hotel type place should poison the air like that. If the room had a problem it should have been closed off for the night. The room was so nice it's such a shame that this happened. The manager needs to address this issue before someone with a chronic breathing condition is a victim of the crazy spraying"
