"The moment we entered the property it was exactly what we wanted for a small island. Close to lots of historic buildings and still near the water with a fantastic restaurant. Pool was very enjoyable. Will stay at The Gin House if we return to Statia."

"Ce n’est pas un hôtel, comme indiqué sur Expédia : pas de réception, pas de piscine, mais une simple maison. La propriétaire a « manqué notre réservation » : donc logement pas préparé à notre arrivée. Puis elle parle de vérifier si nous avons réservé la formule avec petit déjeuner, alors qu’Expedia affiche que le petit déjeuner est compris… A noter aussi que la terrasse devant la maison ( côté mer) est celle du restaurant voisin."

"Apartment was good albeit that the surroundings are still work in process. Location a little remote so you'll need a car or have a 20 minute daily walk to town. Super service-oriented host who drove us to restaurant and picked us up afterwards. Good place to start hikes to Mount Quill. "
