"The property is small and including parking, even small. I hoped to be in secluded Catskill nature. A school next door, heavy equipment and property off a road caused a motel like feeling. The hotel is dark, rather than sunlit. Breakfast was the best part. "

"This was our fourth time at Shandaken Inn. Sadly this time it was only for one night, but it was such a wonderful treat. The staff is so friendly, the food and drinks are inventive and delicious (the pickled green strawberries in the salad that came with my salmon were phenomenal). We love the grounds - the evening was the perfect chilly night to cozy under one of the provided blankets around an outdoor fire pit. The room and little thoughtful touches were lovely. We love the bath products Shandaken Inn uses and started splurging on the same brand so we can feel pampered at home. Can't wait until the next time I get to go back!"

Our bungalow room was spectacular yet comfortable and inviting, and it really felt like a little escape from the usual rush. We spent our mornings sipping coffee in the fresh mountain air & hiking near the waterfalls and our evenings just slowing down whether that meant hanging by the fire pit or just enjoying the quiet. There’s something really special about how peaceful it feels here without trying too hard. It’s rare to find a place that feels this easygoing and genuine. We left feeling recharged and already talking about coming back."
