"Lots of good things about this place. Breakfast was good, room was cozy and clean, tv worked, heat worked, bed comfortable, staff was very nice, games and dvds available and coffee all day. But a couple things not good. There was knocking, banging settling, maybe the pipes? Don’t know but all night long it was very noisy and one more night I’m not sure I could stand it. The other negative is the bathroom which is small. The sad part is that it could have been better designed within the small space. When you sit on the toilet your knees are under the sink, yet if they had installed the toilet a few inches to the right it would be fine. There’s no place to put any toiletries and if they had raised the mirror there would be a perfect place for a small shelf. They have shelves but they are decorative rather than usable. Also in the shower no place to put the soap or shampoo except the floor."

"Location is fine for a quiet stay. Many places close early or on off days. Staff was not friendly. Someone talking about $300 landscaping her husband does in the tavern over our breakfast was unpleasant at best. So tone def, load and not a single moment of acknowledging there were guests. Shouting to maintenance about the petty cash was so tacky. Voices carry and the conversations began at 5:30. Totally unacceptable. In the evening I approached the front desk to ask a question and was greated with a distracted 'hey wassup' which isn't professional. Next day upon leaving the guy wasn't at the desk but smoking right by the door where there is a smoke station and didn't even open the door for us or great us after seeing us each with a suitcase and an additional bag. Folding towels and sheets on a table in the tavern with an employee using headphones isn't exactly sanitary. That being said, the hotel is cute but you have to ask to have the fire started. The staff is odd but the beds, rooms are clean and modern. Come for the looks and feel, don't count on any sort of polite interactions."

"Beautifully designed place in the heart of Woodstock. The owners really know how to create a welcoming vibe. The rooms and cozy and warm and fully equipped. "

"Highly recommend, had a lovely stay. Clean property, rooms are nice, the brewery on site is a bonus. Had live music when we stayed on Saturday evening, good food and drinks. Area surrounded by nature, quiet and relaxing."

"This groovy place in the heart of Woodstock was just perfect for me. Each room is unique and has its own vibe. The staff was nice and helpful, and interactions with other guests were pleasant as well. I’d recommend the Twin Gables for anyone looking for something different."
