Amazing property
The property is awesome and fully stocked. The home was clean and came with everything you might need. Including games, extra blankets, cows to feed, orchards to walk through and even shampoo. The house was located in an idea spot it was dark and quiet at night. This was a true gem!

Family Reunion
Mimi's guest house was clean, easy to find, in a beautiful setting if you want to stop or participate in local activities for all ages. The home was supplied with everything you need if you're a home cook or not. And at the end of the season the land continued to blossom with, grapefruit, tangerines, lemons pomegranates, figs and so much more for you to enjoy and explore. My family enjoyed the home to reconnect and enjoy. I would recommend this and will be returning myself. Thank you, Mimi.

Tranquil Ojai Orchard
My daughters and I had a wonderful stay at this beautiful home in Ojai. The location is perfect, far enough from town to feel immersed in nature, yet close enough to get to restaurants and stores quickly. We enjoyed many of the hiking trails along the Ventura River. Mimi is one of the best hosts we have had during our years of renting VRBO homes. Would love to stay here again.

Wonderful Experience on the Farm
We loved staying at this wonderful home in Ojai! The house is comfortable and well stocked. We absolutely loved picking oranges and grapefruits every morning. We took Mimi's advice to go to Rory's Place & Ojai Rotie for dinner. Both restaurants were excellent! We will definitely rent here again!

Lovely home on a lovely farm!
Mimi helped make our visit to Ojai for a family wedding an absolute delight! Her personal touches were much appreciated. Walking amongst the orange and avocado trees quickly became a rejuvenating pass time for every family member…sometimes in a group and sometimes for a nice solo walking meditation while breathing in the delightful scents of orange blossoms. Feeding pixies to the farm cows was my favorite pass time! We hope to return soon. Thank you Mimi!

Beautiful home in an orchard
Very peaceful. Trees and birds. Beautiful vistas from home and veggie garden. Clean, fresh and comfortable furnishings and linens, and nice patio. Great layout with well spaced bedrooms. Orchids and fresh flowers on the dining table. Enjoyable walk around the property and down the private road. delicious orange juice. Convenient to store and downtown. We hope to visit again soon.

Mimi was very welcoming and had a beautiful arrangement of flowers welcoming us on our arrival day. The rooms are large and comfortable. The property is fabulous, walking through the orchard and smelling the orange blossoms was a highlight of our trip. We did a spa day at Ojai Valley Inn and spent a lot of time exploring down town. Great location that was an easy drive to everything.

Perfection
Our three generation family had a joyful visit at this wonderful little retreat amongst pixie oranges and avocados trees! Mimi was totally gracious and available to help us sort things out and make the farm experience for our 7 year old grandson really magical. She taught him to collect the eggs from the chickens and to feed the pixies to her two cows, and even got on the floor to play with him with one of the building sets. We were encouraged to pick all the pixies (mandarins) and oranges (Valencias) we wanted, and between the fresh orange juice and the fresh eggs, we had bountiful and delicious breakfasts. We would stay here in a heartbeat whenever we want to stay in Ojai and actually can't wait to come back! Highly recommended.

It was hard to leave!
This was totally our speed. We have 4 kids ranging in ages 3-8, and it was so much fun for them. We pet the cows on the property, picked tangerines and ate right from the trees, walked around the orchards, visited an amazing park right in downtown Ojai, hiked close by and enjoyed the owl on the property that hung out by us day and night. We will definitely be back.

The property met all our needs and expectations. The grove is absolutely lovely and the bed is super comfortable. There were lots of homey touches like fresh flowers, the layout of the house was perfect for our needs, and the location is so convenient. There was an unexpected, significant mechanical issue and when we reached out to our host, she responded immediately, graciously, and really jumped through hoops to ensure the issue was resolved immediately. She made sure our trip there to see family wasn't impacted at all. Looking forward to staying here again!

Delightful stay
An enchanting spot. We took strolls each morning through the orchard, gazed out at the mountains and relaxed on the sun-filled patio, leaving us rested and rejuvenated. The home is well-equipped and filled with nice touches like fresh flowers and and a juicer to squeeze orange juice. Mimi was helpful and responsive when we needed her. Highly recommended.

Fabulous farm
Mimi could not possibly have been any kinder or more attentive to us. We had the opportunity to meet and share information. Upon arrival, we were gifted delicious treats, wonderful teas and quality coffee, which obviously showed care. The massive amount of rain held us inside one day however there was multiple books, new games and appropriate toys for all the guests. We had a fantastic time exploring the farm, feeding the animals, and picking fruit. The house was immaculately clean and full of everything we needed for a successful stay. The kitchen was extremely well equipped and the rest of the house very comfortable with 2 full bathrooms and 3 large bedrooms, one of which is a suite. The surrounding areas-mountains and towns are very beautiful and relaxing. We are already scheduling to go back to Mimi’s farmhouse!

Lovely stay on the orchard
First off, the host, Mimi, was amazing! She was so very attentive and brought us farm fresh eggs, fruit, flowers, and more. The guesthouse on the orchard was a perfect location for our family get together after the long pandemic. I had not really considered the aspect of the stay on an active orchard; but it was a super bonus being able to pick fresh grapefruits, oranges, tangerines and squeeze juice daily. Also the the access to the garden for fresh kale, peppers, and herbs was a delicious add to our meals. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking larger suppers for our family. And the property location is only a few minutes away from the main part of Ojai.

Magical, comforting, amazing
Just a top-notch experience from start to finish. My family of 5 stayed at Mimi’s guest house for 5 weeks while the sailboat we live on was undergoing repairs. The house couldn’t have been better for us and we were very comfortable the entire time. We took advantage of the orange and pixie trees, the late season garden, and the orchard grounds. Mimi delivered fresh eggs and flowers each week, and even bought day-old chicks for my 14-year old to tend during our stay. Had wonderful communication with Mimi during our stay. Just so, so great.

An Orchard Paradise
We loved everything about our stay. From the comfortable beds to the quality toiletries and to the delicious farm made dairy products so generously provided by Mimi. My adult daughter loved her ‘private suite’ and we all enjoyed our morning coffee in the spacious backyard. Fresh orange and grapefruit juice, picked from the backyard, is a great way to start the day. My grandchildren, who live in Ojai, slept over one night and declared their beds as cozy. They were delighted to pick the fruit and then use the juicer provided to serve the whole family. We took full advantage of the Yahtzee game provided! Fresh flowers were placed everywhere! What a thoughtful touch. Mimi is an extraordinary host in so many ways. She met us when our grandchildren were on premises so that they could feed the cows and chickens. I had a small health issue and she came over with a healing balm. Location is perfect!

Ojai Farm
This was a great place. It is close to town and anything you need, including hiking trails. the beds were very comfortable. Mimi, the owner was very nice and very responsive to E-mail and text. She brought us fresh milk, eggs, and butter from the farm that were all delicious. The house is very clean and there are oranges and tangerines that you can pick in June and have fresh OJ/fruit every day. Its not a super refined high-end place but the proximity to town and trails with the fresh farm products overcomes all else.

Citrus, hiking, beauty and nature!
Wow, this place is amazing! The house was the perfect size for a weekend with my parents, my partner and our 2 month old baby. The living room looks out onto tangerine, Valencia orange and avocado trees, and strolling around the orchard was lovely. Mimi showed us how to walk through the property to the back gate on Rice Road, where you can walk to some great hikes in the the Ventura River Preserve. She also left us fresh milk, yogurt, eggs and butter. What a great host! Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet few days in nature close to excellent hiking.

Perfect retreat for an intergenerational family
We chose this property for our post-vaccine family reunion and couldn't have had a better experience. The cottage is both cozy and airy, full of thoughtful details that made our stay perfectly complete and completely comfortable. My daughter (3 years old) loved running around the farm, picking the sweetest pixies, making fresh-squeezed juice, and playing with the toys in the well-stocked game closet. My parents, who both have limited mobility, appreciated the one-level floor plan, comfortable beds, and easy access around the home and property. I had a working vacation and appreciated the study off of the master bedroom with plenty of plugs and strong wifi. Mimi was a kind and attentive host; she introduced us to the chickens, stocked our fridge with fresh eggs and the best yogurt and cream, and was available throughout our stay. We had an unforgettable week together and we can't wait to stay on the farm again. I can't recommend this property highly enough, especially for intergenerational families.

Idyllic Retreat
The cottage is a perfect place for relaxing, walking, star gazing and enjoying country life. It is close to beautiful hikes and the Los Padres National Forest and 5 minutes from the lovely town of Ojai. We made juice with the oranges and grapefruits and ate lots of delicious tangerines from trees right outside the house. Mimi even brought us some fresh eggs from her chickens! A taste of country life for us city folks! Loved it.

We were 4 adults and 1 toddler and had a wonderful time staying at Mimi’s guesthouse. The home was perfectly located close to downtown. We loved our downtime enjoying the property between feeding the cows, gathering fresh eggs, picking delicious citrus fruits, and walking the property down to the river. Great Getaway
This was the 4th time staying at this home. I can’t say enough good things about the property. From the moment you walk through the front door, you immediately feel at peace. I was greeted with a handwritten note and fresh cut flowers from the owner, Mimi. The home is spotless. The kitchen is well equipped. The bathrooms had all natural bar soap, lotion, body wash, shampoo, conditioner, and fresh cut flowers. The grove in the back is huge. Rows and rows of avocado and pixie trees. We had fresh orange juice in the morning. I love grapefruit, so I also had fresh grapefruit juice. We brought home 6 avocados and I can’t wait to make guacamole!! Be sure to eat at Boccali’s in the east end of town. They have the best Italian food and the strawberry shortcake is a MUST!! Thank you Mimi for a wonderful stay. We’ll be back in a few months. 😊

Magical Getaway
My husband, daughter and I just stayed at Mimi's place and it was exactly what we hoped for and more. The guest house is beautifully situated on a tangerine and avocado orchard so the backyard leads out to the trees and pathways. It was wonderful every morning to get up and go outside, pick fruit for juice or to eat and walk up to see Buttercup the cow. Mimi let my daughter pick the eggs from the chickens and gave us fresh milk and yogurt to eat which was delicious. We really enjoyed hiking down to the river and stargazing at night. The guest house is close to town, much bigger than we expected, lovingly decorated and replete with games for kids/adults of all ages. I would highly recommend it to anyone, in fact already have to some of my friends, as the beauty of the grounds will definitely rejuvenate you...if not make you sad to leave. All I can say is enjoy this special place. We hope to be back.

Great getaway
This was a nice property with incredibly nice hosts. The guesthouse is a classic older home in its layout and interior architecture (think 1920s) with recent interior paint and modern furnishings and linens. It is very private, in the middle of an orchard with a lovely backyard space with a table for relaxing, enjoying the sunset, or for throwing a ball around. Our host introduced us to the cows and chickens which we visited daily. The property also has a path to a gate that is a few blocks from a hiking trail. Our kids enjoyed riding bikes between the orchards and we enjoyed sitting out and listening to the birds in the early morning, and relaxing again our back at sunset.

Farm guesthouse
We had a wonderful stay at Mimi's guesthouse! The house is cozy, convenient to Ojai and hiking, and cute; but the real highlights were Mimi's hospitality and the setting. We especially enjoyed breakfasts of homemade yogurt, farm eggs, and fresh pressed orange juice while sitting on the back patio overlooking orange and avocado groves. This place is a gem!

My family and friends loved this property. We ate oranges and grapefruit from the trees every day and our host, Mimi provided us with fresh yogurt, milk and eggs from the cows and chickens. Mimi went above and beyond to make us feel at home and to help us enjoy the property. She also made sure to add little touches like fresh flowers in every room and bringing food for the kids to feed the animals every day. We will definitly be back.

Relaxing retreat
I have a slight fear if I write about how amazing our stay was, we will no longer be able to find an open date here again! This rental house and its wonderful owners completely provided the low-key escape we needed during this pandemic life. Our family of 4 referred to this stay as our "fruit-cation." This cute, nicely sized guest house lives up to the photos and more. Really, every morning I looked out to the view of the orchard and mountains, I was stunned by the beauty all over again. If you are familiar with vintage Ojai Pixie fruit labels: this place is basically sitting in one of those illustrations- but IRL. Mimi and her family were incredibly generous and welcoming. Being allowed to pick the navel oranges and grapefruit around the house made for a fun activity and daily delicious breakfasts. Their farm animals (cows, chickens, and donkeys on our visit) are adorable and provided another level to the feeling that we had escaped into another life for a few days. Morning and sunset walks around the property should not be missed. We did the walk from the property to the Ventura River Preserve and had a nice hike on the trails there around and along the water. The kitchen was well stocked with cookware, dishes, and even some spices and teas. There's an awesome commercial grade (to us), easy to use, manual juicer. This was the first building, besides our home, we have slept in since the Pandemic started. Everything felt very safe and well-cleaned Covid-wise. Interactions with the owners were as minimal as we wanted or needed. But again, super nice folks, so it is a pleasure to chat with them..

Picture perfect stay and long weekend
Our family had the perfect stay at Mimi's guesthouse in Ojai this past weekend. The grounds are just magical - plenty of room to spread out, pick oranges for fresh-squeezed OJ, see the cows and generally just enjoy the expansive views of mountains beyond. The highlight for our girls was when Mimi introduced them to the chickens and helped my oldest milk Buttercup, the cow on property. Their eyes were so wide! The guesthouse itself is perfectly appointed with everything you would hope - comfy beds, bedding and towels, all major household appliances - as well as many thoughtful details (hardcover books from recent bestseller lists, family games and a juicer). Mimi has done a great job with the overall decor! We felt like we were able to exhale this weekend and are grateful to Mimi and her family for creating this space for us to get away.

Awesome stay in Ojai
We had the best time staying at Mimi's place in Ojai. The home was more than spacious for our family, very clean and new furniture with such nice touches such as fresh flowers and fresh eggs from her chickens. Mimi showed us around and the kids loved being able to roam the property visiting the cows and going through the bike track. We had such a great time and Mimi was a terrific host. We can't wait to visit again!

Lovely Ojai Guest House
Charming rental home. Great use of a small space. Clean with comfortable linens. Perfect for a weekend getaway. Bring a bottle of champagne to mix with the fresh squeezed orange juice!

Serene Getaway
The perfect getaway from LA during COVID. Tons of outdoor space and no one around. Loved picking oranges and making fresh juice. We even got to meet Sunshine, a baby calf, 15 minutes after Mimi helped deliver her, and we were there for the inaugural milking of Buttercup the dairy cow. Such a great place to relax and do distance learning and remote work combined with vacation.

Beautiful orchard oasis!
Mimi's property was such a lovely place to stay! The orchards are beautiful and serene, and we loved getting to pick fresh oranges and grapefruits in the morning. Mimi was very communicative before and during our stay, and made it an absolute delight. A perfect place to explore Ojai and nearby areas from. Can't wait to go back!

Wonderful Ojai orchard stay
My husband, son, and I had a magical weekend at Mimi's guest house. The spacious, charming guest house has more than enough room for a family twice our size -- and the orchard grounds are just magical for walks, exploring, and orange-picking (fresh juice!). We had a delightful visit to Buttercup the cow. Mimi and family were communicative and welcoming hosts. Just a few minutes to downtown Ojai, but location felt secluded and very private. We hope to book another stay very soon!

Wonderful Stay
We absolutely loved our stay with Mimi at her beautiful orchard! Our kids had a wonderful stay and we all can’t wait to come back again! There are so many thoughtful details in the home, the beds are wonderful, and the property is a dream. Mimi got a new cow on the day we arrived and was so wonderful at engaging our kids in the process. Thank you to Mimi and her family for being wonderful hosts. We will be back.

Lovely, Relaxing Weekend
We girls stayed busy hiking (Fox Canyon Trail), Valley View while the guys played in a golf tournament at OVI. The cottage is perfect - peaceful, comfortable, clean and spacious. We took walks around the orchard and ate al fresco on the back patio. A happy place! We'll be back!!

Early October stay
Very nice and comfortable house nestled into a citrus grove on an really nice piece of property. Far enough outside of Ojai to have a country feel but only a few minute to get into town. The property description on VRBO was accurate. A grate jumping off point for journey’s up the Maricopa Hwy. Mimi was a wonderful and attentive host. I will definitely be returning.
