"Proximity to Lucerne's Hauptbahnhoh for day trips by train. Walkable to shopping and boat trips on the beautiful lake. Bacio, Italian-themed restaurant a pleasant surprise, but a noisy and crowded on a a, even before the high season of tourism. Air-conditioned--a blessing this torrid summer. Excelllent breakfast. Fine staff."

"This is a good, basic hotel stay. The staff were helpful and the room was small but met our needs. It was very hot in Lucerne when we visited and the AC could not quite keep up, but we were happy to have some AC. Most importantly, take the #4 bus from the train station! We walked from the train station because the distance did not seem far and ended up in some confusing underground train / bike tunnels. Your hotel reservation doubles as a bus pass and we took the bus all over Lucerne quite easily."

"Older hotel that has not been renovated but was clean and the beds were comfy (most important!). Decent amount of space in the room. Disappointed that the AC was not working during a heat wave. The pool looked really nice. Overalll a nice stay and happy breakfast was included. I understand it is high season but not what I would call worth $400/night."
