My husband and I came up from Carlsbad, CA, for some surf fishing with friends at the beaches around Ventura. We weren't looking to book a big or fancy place as we knew we wouldn't spend much time at the property, and this property worked out perfectly for our needs. The location was nice as we felt like we were off the beaten path, but it was also a quick and super easy drive to Ventura, and Ojai is also a very nice small town with trendy restaurants. The only "caution" about this property is that there is no A/C, so just be aware during hot weather times, especially if you will spend a lot of time at the property during the day. Thankfully, the temperature does tend to cool down through the evening with the windows open and ceiling fans on, so we slept ok. :-) Finally, Eva was also very nice and communicative. We were so shocked with the fore mentioned conditions and called them. They only provided old and dirty blanket and 2 rugs. The following morning we texted them and instead of accommodating our complaints the owner said why we parked our car in the wrong place (arriving late) and that we had to READ the information. Very impolite. Worst experience. The apartment was about a 15-20 minute Uber into town, on a quiet street. Bed was comfortable and there was a full kitchen, and coffee maker for the morning. We weren't there much, but it was clean and Eva's instructions for getting there and checking in were super straightforward. ##### Amy H.
