"Hotel is situated a little tucked away from the main area, but it’s a small town and easy to get around. We were not able to check in before 3pm, and were asked to ring the buzzer every time to be let in. It was a little confusing, but we managed. The room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and the bathroom was luxurious. We enjoyed our stay, but we also barely spent any time in it as there is so much to do around Saumur. Everything is within walking distance, even the train station (although...

Top Notre-Dame des Ardilliers Hotel Reviews

Hôtel Anne d'Anjou,The Originals Collection

10/10 Excellent

"Nicely located just under the castle. Rooms are great on the 1st floor, a little smaller on the rest of the property. The small pool is a nice touch. Beware, No restaurant in the hotel!"

3500 SQF/HISTORIC HOUSE WITH WARMED POOL IN THE OLD SAUMUR/GREAT VIEWS

10/10 Excellent

"The property offers so much space in a very convenient location. Our host, Gilles, was the best we've ever experienced. He called a couple of days before our arrival to ask about bedroom setup, and see if we had any questions. He met us upon our arrival to give us a tour of his beautiful property, and checked-in on a regular basis during our stay to see if we needed anything. The added comforts, from the pool to the game room were enjoyed by our entire party of six. Saumur is also a wonderful location for visiting the city as well as other attractions all within an hour's drive."

Best Western Adagio

8/10 Good

"Good location (very close to the train station and downtown) and relatively quiet for being located on a major road at a major intersection. The building is nice, solidly constructed with spacious rooms and high ceilings. The room needs some updating in terms of decor and there are little touches that show a lack of very careful attention to maintenance (curtains that aren’t attached completely at the top of the window, dead mosquitoes on the sheer curtains). A little more careful attention to these details would go a long way to improving the first impression. That said, the room was spacious (a corner room -05) and the bed was very comfortable. The staff were welcoming and pleasant. All in all, I recommend this hotel and would stay again on another visit to the Saumur area."

Large studio at the foot of the Château with private courtyard

10/10 Excellent

"This property was relaxing. Clean and had everything I needed and some things I didn’t know I needed. Had relaxing outdoor space to relax. Location was perfect for access to town without a long walk. Hosr was highly responsive, excellent communication, and accommodating. I plan to stay here again."

Mercure Bords De Loire Saumur

10/10 Excellent

"Great location. Privilege rooms worth extra cost - great views over river and Chateau . Parking v convenient. Nice bar and terrace . Didn’t have breakfast as v pricey - plenty of options in the town at half the price. Would return"

Large apartment between Loire and Château

10/10 Excellent

"The apartment was perfectly placed on the south side of the River Loire.easy walking distance to the popular St Pierre's Square for plenty of restaurants. We were there during the 2026 heatwave but the building was built in the 1760s and with management of the shutters stayed cool throughout. There are three good supermarkets two of which are "hyper". We really enjoyed it and if there is anything you need I'm sure Aliona will be able to help"

UNUSUAL GORGEOUS TRADITIONAL BOAT FACING THE CHATEAU DE SAUMUR

".Nous sommes arrivés pendant une période de fortes chaleurs. L'hôte a gentiment mis un ventilateur à notre disposition, ce qui a été apprécié. Une climatisation pourrait éventuellement être envisagée à l'avenir pour plus de confort.Nous avons été très bien accueillis et avons passé un agréable séjour."

Splendid view of the Château and the Loire
