LOCAL QUIRKS | WHAT TO EXPECT Life in Nosara is relaxed and full of charm — but it comes with a few quirks! You may experience dust, bugs, or brief power, water, or internet outages. Construction noise is also possible between 6 a.m. and 5 p.m. as the area continues to grow. If reliable internet is essential, consider adding a mobile data plan. Please note that local septic systems don’t allow toilet paper to be flushed — bins are provided. These are normal aspects of life in Costa Rica and outside our control, so refunds aren’t offered for such occurrences. SAFETY & CANCELLATION While we honor our cancellation policy, processing fees are non-refundable for guest-initiated cancellations. The place has everything you need in a great location. Proximity to the beach and restaurants was great. We caught a sailfish, learned to surf, boated with humpback whales and bottlenose dolphins, snorkelled, and experienced some of the best dining on earth. It’s a large 2 bedroom with a patio in front, we never used it as it was the wet season and the area not just the property is overrun with mosquitoes and other biting bugs. Make sure you bring strong bug spray!! Great restaurants are all around and you don’t need a car. Save the money on a rental and use the Tuk Tuks that are available. I have stayed in dozens of places in CR and this is in the top few - surf access to the beach, restaurants nearby including pool if a customer of Norte prior known as caya sol, all wonderful and ideal for the area IMO.
