The best time to visit Norwalk, Connecticut, is during the late spring (May to June) and early autumn (September to October) when the weather is most pleasant for exploring.

During these months, you'll find comfortable temperatures, typically ranging from 15°C to 25°C, making it ideal for outdoor activities and sightseeing without the intense heat of summer or the chill of winter. The humidity is also generally lower, contributing to a more enjoyable experience.

Late spring offers the beauty of blossoming flowers and lush greenery, great for visiting places like the Maritime Aquarium or enjoying a stroll through Calf Pasture Beach. Early autumn brings stunning foliage, especially in the surrounding areas, and is a wonderful time for events and festivals.

While summer (July to August) is also popular, it can be quite warm and humid, sometimes exceeding 30°C. If you plan to visit then, be prepared for hotter weather, but you'll still find plenty of activities, particularly water-based ones.

Norwalk's nightlife is primarily centred around a few key areas, each offering something a little different.

You'll find a good selection of bars, restaurants that transition into lively spots later in the evening, and a few places with live music. It's a popular choice for those looking for a bustling atmosphere with many options within walking distance.

Wall Street, in the heart of downtown, is another area with several establishments. There are pubs and a few venues that host live performances, including comedy shows and musical acts. It's generally a more relaxed setting compared to SoNo.

East Norwalk, particularly along the main thoroughfares, has a scattering of local pubs and taverns. These spots are often more about a casual drink and conversation, popular with residents.
