"This was our second visit and was just as relaxing as our first time there. The house is very well appointed. The views of Lake Superior are spectacular and being able to hear the water on the shore all night long makes for excellent sleeping. We've visited Duluth many times and Pumphouse has become our favorite place to stay. We look forward to our next visit."

"Such a quiet spot. Far enough away from everyone but close enough to get something from town if you need. Only real complaint is that the bed is very very firm. Even though that is a matter of preference, I've stayed alot of places and never had a bed that firm. That is the only reason i cant give 5 stars."

"I received a message with check in instructions in advance and a phone number if i had any problems. The property was clean and welcoming. It was quiet at night for sleeping despite being on the Main Street through town. The bathroom has been recently remodeled and is nice. I would stay here again. It’s small and cozy, but clean and comfortable. "

The home was had plenty of room for all of us to spread out and get time to ourselves when needed and space to gather together to hang out and eat. "My husband and I along with our 2 young adult daughters spent Memorial Day weekend at the Polished Pebble Cottage. As other reviews have mentioned, the photos are true to the physical attributes of the rental. All of the bedrooms are on the second level. There was a very, very sufficient number of towels provided in each of the bedrooms for individuals to use. "I totally enjoyed my winter getaway. Loved seeing the sunrise come into the bedroom. The location was great, within close proximity to everything I needed. I loved the snow and found a great trail for snowshoe hiking up off Gunflint Trail. The cottage was perfect. Loved the gas stove heaters. The bed was comfortable and the bath towels were very soft. Accommodations were great."

"Stayed for two nights for my daughter's graduation. The event was at the DECC so the location was perfect! Across the street from beach. One mile from Canal Park. Pictures on web were accurate. Very clean. Very basic for kitchen pantry items. Salt, pepper, sugar and a couple pouches of coffee. Spacious for three people. Park temporary in front of house to unload/load. The back entry was a bit to navigate especially in a downpour. Comfortable living and enjoyed our stay!"
