"We visited over Christmas with family. The house was decorated beautifully as was the outside courtyard and was a lovely sight upon arriving. Everything we needed was here to have a home from home Christmas. Plenty of fridge and freezer space, pots and pans etc. A great cake, bread, milk, tea and coffee provided along with a few dishwasher tablets and washing machine gels. Spacious and comfortable with the added extra of a table tennis table in the garage (recommend bringing your own bats and balls). This was also an ideal space to keep drinks cold as no heating. When running about playing we soon kept warm and loved it. Beautiful grounds to explore and not far to beaches and walks on Exmoor. It is quite remote with country lanes leading to the property so something to bear in mind if you don't like driving on roads without white lines in the middle. There is a large Sainsburys about 6 miles away if you don't want to bring everything with you."

"Great place to stay, really clean and equipped, the only issue is poor internet connection that cause a problem to plan trips, and explore local attractions for next day. Parking place is not that bad , however we used public parking as cost only £2.50 a day, well done"

"Traditional pub building in the middle of a village. The bar was full of local people having a good time but no noise made it through to the bedroom due to very thick walls. Nice room, clean, huge bed plenty of indirect lighting and enough power points. New en suite bathroom. Very friendly but unobtrusive staff. Excellent full English breakfast."

"The main thing to be said about our stay at the poltimore is that the staff really couldnt do enough for you. So attentive and lovely. The room was clean, spacious and had a stunning view of the countryside. The water sometimes ran brown, but this is probably the only negative comment to be said. Food has always been very nice here. We happily stay here again. "
