With a warm welcome for both guests and their furry friends, the proprietors and staff were great , the food was fantastic and the ambience tasteful yet relaxed. Might not be to everyone's taste but we liked it. Situated in the middle of Exmoor with great views, the room and ensuite were a good size and the bed very comfortable. Didn't try the restaurant but the included breakfast was excellent. The setting is splendid in the middle of Exmoor. We had a very comfortable one night stay at Simonsbath House Hotel. Breakfast was good but the lamb at dinner was excellent! Facilities were excellent and an ideal situation for us (couple and dog). Thanks to him, we feel like we've seen the best parts of Exmoor within 2 days. The only problem we had with the hotel is that we didn't have wireless in our room. The room was big and the facilities well stocked. Some of the fixtures in the bathroom were a little old and attached at a jaunty angle, and the toilet "over flushed" and didn't stop trickling for the first night. But, with the bathroom door shut, this didn't impact on the silence. If you're expecting a good mobile phone signal and a strong wifi connection, Siminsbath Hotel isn't for you.
