"We loved how pet friendly this hotel was. The rooms are recently updated and clean, with white linens. We did not go to the bar/coffee place on the first floor, but it is open and looks like a nice spot to wind up or down for the day!"

"We rented this house and the house next to it and we were able to use the same property manager which was great. We did have some issues with the house - the fridge was off and completely warm when we arrived (the switch had been tripped so we just had to flip it). It just seemed like it could use a good once-over for maintenance issues (we did mention some when we left like no vent cover in one of the bathrooms, a dangling smoke alarm in a bedroom, etc and the property manager sounded like she would take care of them quickly). They didn’t impact the stay so we didn’t mention them ahead of time. And the kitchen could use a check for supplies (we could only find a teaspoon and half a teaspoon measuring spoons). The beach for this house is smaller than we expected but since we rented both houses we could enjoy the other beachfront. Also - we read about the well water in the notes right before traveling so we were glad we could grab gallons of water. It was a very strong sulfur smell but we know that’s just how well water is (just be prepared for it!)There were many things we loved! We enjoyed the back balcony and the big open kitchen and family room. The games were great to have for rainy days and the basement was a nice gathering spot for tv watching. The marina didn’t bother us and we loved docking our boat there and using the kayaks to explore the lake. It was gorgeous!! Amy was helpful and we had a good stay. Great quiet spot on the lake. Not perfect but still nice!"

"Lovely well cared for clean home with big yard. Great location. 1 mile walk to downtown Elk Rapids. Grocery store at the end of the block. Easy host communication. Everything was as promised. Highly recommend!"

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We booked this last minute for the Fourth of July and it was a very special weekend for us. The location is walking distance to a beautiful trail that leads to a playground and beach. The home was very comfortable and in such a peaceful spot surrounded by trees."

"Our stay in Elk Rapids was wonderful, clean, and cozy! The location is perfect—easily within walking distance to town (under a mile) and right across the street from Bass Lake, where we loved playing cards by the water.The town is incredibly kid- and dog-friendly. We walked to the free Monday night movies, the Wednesday street vendor market, and the Friday morning farmers market. Short’s Brewing is only a half-mile walk for great beer and food trucks, and there are three beaches within a 15-minute walk (plus many more a short drive away).Carley was a fantastic, attentive host. The rental is attached to the main house, and her family and dogs are lovely. My only minor note is that the shower is quite small with a slight weak spot in the floor—worth mentioning for larger guests—but we loved our stay and can't wait to return!"

"We truly enjoyed our stay in Elk Rapids. The host was very responsive. Access to the home was easy. The home was clean, had comfortable beds and the lakefront view was fabulous. We could fish and float/swim right off of the front of the house--the area is a sandy bottom, which was very nice. There are two kayaks provided, which was awesome and we enjoyed using those on the lake. They also provided several bikes, so we could bike into Elk Rapids and around the area, which was fun. The beach across M31 on Lake Michigan is very close and a great place to enjoy a beach and catch a sunset. Furthermore, you have close and easy access to great places to eat and shop. The hot tub is an extra bonus for sure! We would stay again!"
