"The hotel was lovely and walking distance to everything we planned on doing. The breakfast was outstanding and even had crispy bacon, not normal in most European hotels - it’s usually undercooked and floppy. The front desk and the breakfast room staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Definitely looking for a time where we can go to Homburg just so we can stay here again. "

"This is a large hotel but when we arrived there was no sign of life. Eventually, we found a guy cutting the grass who phoned his boss and managed to get the key. The restaurant was closed too so we had to go elsewhere to find a meal which could have been tricky in this rather remote location. However we did find a restaurant only about 15 minutes away. Our room at the hotel was clean and spacious. Next morning our friend on the lawn mower had laid on an excellent breakfast and we were sorry that we couldn't stay longer. I think the hotel often hosts large functions but this night it was empty and we were rather surprised that Hotels.com had booked us in,"

"Having booked 5 nights on our trip already, I left the remaining nights blank to offer some flexibility. On deciding to stay in Trier, I looked for something central, within my price range and offering parking. This hotel turned out to be the ideal choice and caused me to extend our stay for an extra night. I liked the way I was phoned en route to check on my arrival time and to give me parking instructions. It was a personal touch. The place is a bit unusual in its layout, larger than it at first seems and parking is adequate and a real boon. The room was one of the largest on our trip, very well appointed with white bedding and towels, as you would expect. The price for the buffet-style breakfast was very reasonable and the food was typical German style offering both quantity and quality. "
