Nipissing Ridge Vacation Packages

The positives: Clean bed, linens and overall general upkeep was good. The negatives: Some standard items that I would have expected were missing. There was no full length mirror in the room to double check your outfit before heading out. I also didn't an ironing board or iron but this might be available at the front desk, I didn't ask as I didn't need it. There was no coffee maker or kettle in the room. 2 bottles of water were provided and a mini fridge. The staff mentioned there was a Tims up the road, but I usually make my own coffee, even bringing my own press, but I still need a kettle. Safety: The entry door features a single lock with just a twist knob between you and anyone driving by the highway. No secondary deadbolt or sliding bolt was installed on the main door. As a single female this made me a bit nervous. All in all it wasn't terrible, as a clean bed is my biggest requirement and they fulfilled that, but I wouldn't stay again unless the safety concern was addressed.

very peaceful and quiet place. no outside traffic. other cottages are even at quiet distance so make it very comfortable. private beach too.

We loved the pool and the easy access to the water toys like kayaks and paddle boards. They supplied the life jackets which was helpful and supplied all the linens, towels and even provided soap and shampoo. It is a beautiful firepit and nice sandy volleyball pit. There isn’t swimming off the dock, as the water is full of reeds but the water is clean and lots of opportunities to go out into deeper water to swim. We loved it!

The place was generally clean but everything was falling apart. The owners tried to maintain as best as they could. They were a lovely couple, honest, straightforward and helpful. The rooms were big, with a view of the lake from every room. The beach was at a steep slant, so a bit difficult to get up and down. The water was clean. They had a few kayaks but they weren't that great and there was a cost for using them. I feel like the kayaks should have been included in the cost of renting a cottage. There were fire pits but no wood to burn. It seemed like one had to get their own wood. It was ok for a weekend, but I wouldn't go back.
