Good location in general, helpful staff. Our room was on the first floor and was spacious for two people: right next to the bathroom and the AC worked well.
It was my first time staying in a hostel, and the proximity to the Nice-Ville station was a definite plus. I was a bit worried about the quality of the bed, the bathrooms, and the space, but I was truly impressed; I stayed for six nights in a 10-bed dorm, and I can tell you it felt like a hotel—great air conditioning, consistently clean bathrooms, and a super soft mattress, sheets, and pillow. I would definitely stay there again.
Everything from check in, to cleanliness, and facility was great! We did two bunks in a room of four. It was clean and quiet. Location is close to everything. Rooms could be a bit cooler but they weren’t terribly warm either. 5/5 overall
Great place to stay in Nice....it's near the beach near all the city attractions and near the train station if you want to explore other cities in the region....the facilities are clean and top notch and staff is very kind and helpful
We got a private room/bathroom in the hotel. The room was basic but had everything we needed for a comfortable stay! The staff was very friendly and helpful and I enjoyed the breakfast. Location was perfect for the price.
This hostel is located in a convenient location close to the train station, and a 10-15 minute walk from the beach. The areas has many food options and has a safe atmosphere!
SLO Hostel Nice is pricey, but it genuinely feels like staying in a five-star hotel though there are a few trade-offs worth knowing about.
The biggest one is there’s no kitchen, so you can’t cook. You’re limited to eating cold food from the fridge, and whilst they might have coffee available, you’ll need to pay extra for it. I wasn’t entirely clear on whether there’s a kettle or boiler for hot water, so that’s worth confirming when you book.
What you do get is absolutely spotless rooms. The beds are brilliant they come with privacy curtains, so it feels cosy and genuinely private. They’re comfortable too, and there are charging outlets dotted about. Lockers are available, but you’ll need to bring your own padlock.
Breakfast and towels both come at an extra charge, so factor that into your budget if they matter to you.
The bathrooms and toilets are immaculate and properly private. You get your own shower with the door closed, which is a real luxury in a hostel setting.
Location-wise, it’s spot on. You’re about 5–10 minutes’ walk from the station and 10–15 minutes into the centre. Public transport is literally a minute’s walk away. Bonus: they’ll store your luggage for free before or after check-in, which is dead useful if you arrive early or leave late.
And finally, friendly helpful staff
Recommended for solo traveller. 5minutes walk to tram going to airport, train to monaco , cannes, antibes etc… also so near to shopping center//great restaurant.
Really liked the atmosphere and staff. Hostel style with ease to meet people in nice and mature - with quite some private rooms. Major downside from my perspective: The doors slam shut and likely have you wake-up.
Upon checkin, we were given an upgrade to a premium room, which was an amazing room. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The all you can eat breakfast was very good, well worth paying the 9€. The room was spacious and very clean, with large windows which allowed plenty of light and breeze into the room. The bed was also very comfortable. We absolutely loved our time here. A huge thanks to Tomas and his staff.
This was the fanciest dorm I’ve stayed in ever! A bit close to the major-tourist-vibe bars and dinings spots, but you can walk in lots of different directions to explore neighbourhoods and leave the tourist traps behind. Close to the beach, train and shopping strip which were all ticks for me! I skipped the breakfast. Gogi gogi was great for breakfast and a 10 minute walk away - next door to a viral bakery which I would visit if I had more time.
I stayed here for 3 nights. Its location is convenient. 5 mins to Nice-Ville train station and 15-20 mins to the old town. The property is new and clean. But unfortunately you might hear street noise and the music from the lobby if you're assigned to the room on the ground floor. Earplugs are what you need.
First time solo traveller. Stayed 1 night to see if I would like hostels. Wish I stayed longer as this place was perfect for first timers and other. Love the privacy curtain over bed, individual self contained bathroom and shower semi clean only water on floor but to be expected. Friendly and youthful staff would go back.
The front staff were very helpful in supplying me with a charger that fit the outlet. I didn't bring the right sized one. Very pleasant and central to everything I wanted to do. Also there were some very nice guests that I could have breakfast with and enjoy a pleasant start to my morning. As a single woman traveler, I felt very comfortable and safe here. I stayed in the single room which was very roomy, clean and comfortable.
This hostel is pretty nice! The lockers are very, very small, I had to unpack both bags I had and they aren’t very big bags which is a bit inconvenient. The beds and lockers were also pretty loud, so it was quite noisy getting in/out, the balconies were really nice and had enough space to step out. Lobby area was nice for sitting! Some activities like walking tours would have been nice.
