My husband and I recently stayed at 1 Hotel Toronto for a one-night getaway from our kids, and while the hotel itself is beautiful and very clean, our overall experience was disappointing. I booked the Skyline View Suite based on the photos advertised. Unfortunately, the room we received did not match the photos. It was missing features shown online, including the desk, and the "skyline view" was quite misleading. Only about a quarter of the view actually overlooked the skyline, while the rest looked out onto the rooftops of older buildings. Considering the premium price of the suite, this was disappointing. The biggest letdown, however, was the rooftop pool experience. One of the main reasons we chose this hotel was to relax by the pool and enjoy a day in the sun. When we went up to the rooftop, there were empty lounge chairs available, but we were told we couldn't use them because they were reserved for guests on a waiting list. We were actually asked to get up from the chairs and told we could "try again tomorrow morning." Since we were only staying for one night, that wasn't a realistic option and it completely changed the experience we had hoped for. I want to mention that the hotel was exceptionally clean, and the property itself is beautiful. However, between the misleading room photos and the inability to enjoy one of the hotel's main amenities despite being a paying guest, our stay didn't feel like the relaxing getaway we had planned. For a hotel of this caliber, I could not understand the lack of doormen to open the heavy and cumbersome doors at the main entrance. This also made getting the luggage through the revolving door very difficult as there were no staff to help anywhere. The historic nature of the building also precludes any luggage ramp. How is this possible for a 4 or 5 star hotel? When I inquired, I learned that doormen were not a priority. I imagine older visitors could have quite a challenge. And while staff were all pleasant, the check-in procedure was tediously long. Signage is also lacking in the extensive hallways, adding more challenges to finding rooms or elevators. For the price and supposed ranking of this hotel, it did not meet my expectations.

Hot tub one is not working. Booking one of our family was sent to another building and cant use our pool. In addition the bath tub is not super clean. Sofa bed almost tippy fall uneven. In addition I found worms on the wall of our hotel unit. Pool was small and always pact.
