Thank you for staying with us, Alan! We are glad you found your room to be clean, cozy, and comfortable -- those qualities are our highest priorities and exactly what we seek to provide. We are also glad you enjoyed the Carriage House, situated just across the yard from the Main House. There are 5 guest rooms in the Carriage House (with not many stairs, as you said), while the Main House has 14 rooms on three floors (1st, 2nd, and 3rd). All rooms throughout the inn have private baths, although it should be said that bathrooms do vary in size. Again, many thanks for joining us. As you mentioned, the Yankee Peddler is an "older" property - yes, it dates back to the mid-1800s! Now consisting of 19 guestrooms in two buildings, it was originally the home of artist, journalist, and army officer George Douglas Brewerton. The rooms vary in size, from "Carriage House" and "Standard" on the smaller side to "Superior Rooms" which are somewhat larger with original fireplace mantels.
