Upon check in was giving the wrong room, had to swap keys and room - The room was below average - the bed didn’t have a sheet on it, only a top sheet which was easily moving all night. The light on the night stand also did not work. Also had no towels upon arrrival, called 3 times to get towel. There was also construction going on in the room directly next door, so saws and vacuums could be heard most of the day.

The property is dated and the bathrooms are in desperate need of an update. It is a noisy area so difficult to sleep if you are a lite sleeper - I am always surprised that hotel windows in Manhattan are not double or triple glazed! On a positive, the rooms are spacious for a Manhattan hotel and housekeeping is good.

Welcoming staff. Beautiful flower markets along the street. Convenient access to great food, transportation, entertainment. Comfortable large room. Enjoyed my stay!

The staff was very nice and helpful. The breakfast and restaurant were ok...there are walkable options but hotel is limited to coffee, cereal, fruits and yogurts.

We were underwhelmed by this hotel. The first room was smelly, but staff moved us to a room that did not smell. The hotel is in a state of disrepair and clear lack of maintenance. For example enamel was chipped from the tub, walls needing painting, garbage right next to ice machine, broken elevator buttons etc. Housekeeping staff tended to forget things - such as not replacing towels left on the floor or leaving dirty cleaning cloths in the room. The location is in a very central location, walking distance to Times Square and other attractions - but is very expensive for a mediocre hotel. One great thing is the service was typically very fast - a call to the front desk for anything and they would send someone to the room typically in 5 minutes.

The location is exceptional! Walk to trendy chelsea or manhattan! Much hipper than staying in manhattan! Room reno excellent. Lobby could use some work but didnt mind. Service good. Would definitely stay there again

The businesses around Hilton Gardenview Chelsea are floral wholesalers and the street in Spring smelled wonderful, which is a feat in NYC. The hotel was clean and well equipped. The front desk staff were helpful and held our luggage as well as arranged transportation to the airport for us which arrived on time.

The shades in the room never worked even after several requests to front desk and housekeeping. Also the first night we arrived we didn't have any toiletries in the room, we called the desk but they didn't send any till the next morning. The toilet was super noisy and overall we got the impression that most of the staff didn't care.

Very good location, subway on same block, room was comfortable and clean. Biggest issue was a broken elevator, there’s only 2 in total, so long waits. I believe the elevator had been out for at least a week.

Very small rooms and the shower went from ice cold to scolding hot without an in between. The bed was very uncomfortable and I woke up with back pain every day.

The beds are awful and very uncomfortable. There is limited lighting, one ceiling light by the door and then tiny small lamps, barely any light on the opposite side of the room. The HVAC unit rattles and keeps you up (even after you ask them to fix it). For 3 days they only had one working elevator, sometimes it could take you 5-10min (or more) to get from the top floors to the lobby. We try to always stay at Hilton's in general but this one has been the worst by far.

No soundproofing for doors (you'll hear anything in your hallway). Phone was broken so you would hear the beep sound continuously. Staff were kind and helped hold my baggage after checking out. Decently clean and convenient but not great otherwise.
