« They didn't tell me they had somebody living on site until I was on my way there, between midnight and 2:30 a.m., because I told them I would be late, getting there.There was somebody else there when I got there in the room that I was supposed to be in, plus the person that lives on site.The key was where it was supposed to be, but the outside door was locked, and I rang the doorbell several times, and contacted the host, by calling and sending messages, and I still had to wait about 20 minutes...

« Greatly enjoyed our stay here for a week in February. The house was home base for us as we visited the three nearby National Wildlife Refuges. House was very clean and stocked with all essentials. Clear communications with the host added to the positive experience. Was third winter we have visited Albemarle/Pamlico peninsula to view wildlife. When we return, we will definitely try and book this lodging again. »

« This property is a hidden gem. We used it as our base for a short trip to OBX. Columbia is a peaceful town with a lovely boardwalk along the Scuppernong River and this home is located within walking distance of the small main street and boardwalk. Coming from the triangle area, it was nice to have a shorter drive to get to our accommodations coming down and to be ahead of the OBX return traffic coming home. Plus, it's so much more affordable than staying right on the coast. The house itself was...
