GREAT STAY
We had a great stay at the cabin. Margot was extremely friendly and brought over some pears fresh picked from her pear tree...enough to bring a few home. The cabin was clean and exactly like the pictures. We got to see horses and goats, but the cows were in a different pasture. We did get to wake up at 5am when the smoke alarm went off. Still not sure why, but it got us up and ready for a day of hiking and driving home.

Perfect; wish we’d been there longer!
The site was beautiful; very homey. The hosts so kind and accommodating. This was our home away from home while we explored hiking hills and my only wish was that we had been able to stay longer! While we were grilling the horses came out and were just on the other side of the fence; the girls had a blast watching the animals and learning about the farm.

This was EXACTLY what we needed for a place to relax and sleep in between hiking. The ranch is beautiful, Margot and John were absolutely lovely. The kids haven’t stopped talking about getting to see all the animals.

Relaxing stay
We couldn't be happier with our stay. Everything was ready for us. Margot and John were attentive and gracious. A week long stay would have been perfect, but life sometimes dictates what you can and can't do. With that said, our two day stay was a delight. Thank you Margot and John.

Relaxing getaway
Such a sweet, peaceful spot. I loved sitting at the picnic table in the AM with my coffee watching the sun come up over the hill as the mist burned off and the baby goats frolicked in the field. Just as relaxing was the night time cup of tea on the front porch watching the sun set.

The cabin was perfect for our spring break trip. The hosts showed us around the ranch and even treated us to fresh locally made bread and eggs from their own hens. I would absolutely stay here again!

Not exactly as described
The owners were absolutely fantastic and downed earth people. But the expectation of the place and being able to be closer to the animals was a little bit less than described. They were nice enough to let us go and view the animals the day we arrived with them on site unfortunately they couldn't be there Sunday so we were not allowed to go out and view the Animals on those days. The cabin itself was very poorly insulated and was very cold and the smoke alarm kept going off every time we used the oven. Lol However I do want to make sure I call out that they were very kind to us but would recommend staying during the warmer months.

Cousin get away
This cabin was perfect!! The listing was accurate. I’ve never had a fully stocked kitchen like this one was. Im usually needing something that’s not in kitchens when I rent, however, not this time. They had everything! Even coffee, hot tea and hot coco. When I asked about firewood to have a fire in the pit, not only did I get firewood, but also roasting sticks and marshmallows. The owners left us homemade jam and bread for our stay. The beds were comfortable, pillows perfectly comfy. We had plenty of towels for 5 adults and 2 children. My daughters especially enjoyed the farm animals and kitties. I’d highly recommend this cabin and will be staying here again the next time I visit the area!

Perfect escape
This was a wonderful escape from the noise of life. You stay there for the views of horses, cows, goats, sheep, ducks, geese, chickens and their amazing dog Fritz. The rolling hills with the changing leaves were gorgeous as I sat and drank my morning coffee. The hosts are so friendly and helpful. This was exactly what we needed.

My husband, almost 2 year old and I had a great time staying here! The cabin was so clean and very cozy - I was very sad to leave at the end of our trip! It is centrally located and the owners gave us some great recommendations of things to see/do nearby! We loved seeing the animals every day and learning about the farm!

Our weekend stay on the ranch!
John and Margot were very accommodating and helpful with everything. Our 3 daughters loved staying on the farm to see the animals, John gave us a nice tour of the property. From the Cattle to goats and horses and even the dogs and cats were all so friendly. We weren’t far from many of the trails which had so many amazing views. John also recommended Lake Hope Lodge for dinner, definitely worth going to! Only about 5 miles from the farm. I also bought ribeyes to bring home from them, yes you can definitely taste a difference and they were delicious! As well as the homemade jam too! Thank you Margot! It was a short weekend stay, as we spent most time seeing the sites and trails. The ranch definitely fit our needs for our weekend stay!

Back at the Ranch
This wasn’t just a place to stay; this was an experience. Being on a working ranch gave the children (and me, too) an opportunity to learn about caring for a wide variety of animals and regenerative ranching. Plus we were right in the middle of many Hocking Hills parks and trails. To say that our hosts were welcoming is an understatement. I cannot come up with the words to describe how truly lovely they were.
