Family Hotel on the Beach

Posted 28-Mar-2017
Lots of families and noisy so would not recommend to couples. The hot tubs are not nice nor private. The pools are small. Avoid tower three with the water slides because it is particularly noisy. Bring your own beach chairs as they are not provided.

Figured out why we got it so cheap.

I got very excited when I found this place for the price! They advertised an enclosed heated waterpark that could be used in the cooler months, which was perfect bc we were going in March. When we got there we realized the place was in shambles. They were renovating! The lazy river didn't even have water in it. Luckily the waterpark was open though. There was a catch to that too though. The enclosed waterpark was enclosed with the thick plastic panels that snap. The area with the waterpark was nicely heated with heaters, but the enclosed pool room was freezing so unless you were in the water it was too cold to sit in there to supervise you your kids. The water slides were awesome except you have to wait in the freezing cold while you're waiting in line. It was painfully cold so we ended up only going down the slide a few times. Then there's the floor of the waterpark. I was so excited to let my toddler run around in there except I couldn't. It's this rough cement floor. If he had fallen it would have hurt him pretty bad so I couldn't let him down. Now here's the big kicker.... you have to go outside to get inside. All the heated, enclosed water does no good when you are miserable walking back to your room. :( lastly, they closed the arcade 2 hours early on our last night which sent my kids back to the room crying bc they were excited to go down there. I'm sure it's great in the summer, but shouldn't advertise the cooler months. Only other complaint is that the beds are hard!

Not for off season travel.

Posted 21-Mar-2017
We booked this resort because the information said it had a seasonally-enclosed water park that was available all year. That is a stretch. Their "seasonally-enclosed" water park consisted of their outdoor water park that was tarped-off. The access during summer was from outside, so during the winter the access was from the parking garage. And the hallway to the hotel rooms were not at all enclosed. So when we visited and it was between -2 and 10 degrees Celsius, we had to run down the wind-tunnel hallway, through the parking garage into the slightly-less freezing water park area while soaking wet. This might be a gorgeous resort in the summer time. But during the winter it was not ideal. And the location was far away from everything. Couldn't even get any photos because we had to run into our room to escape the freezing temperatures!

Nice hotel close to the beach

Posted 15-Mar-2017
Super close to the beach and has a deck that goes directly to the beach. We went at a very bad timing but pretty sure the view must be pretty during the warmer seasons. Stayed on the top floor and the view of the ocean was amazing!

Not worth a penny

Cons: Repairs and updates are much needed
The room was disgusting, to say the least. The hotel in general is in need of some remodeling and repairs. The hotel furniture was grossly used, the carpet was soaked with water, the kitchen fridge didn't work, and the bathroom had missing fixtures and cracks. To top it off, there was a gaping hole in the wall - great for cockroaches! The front desk points out that you used a third-party to book your reservation, then gets the booking info from a different stack in the back. Makes me wonder if they give the crap rooms to the third-party. I paid $200/night and I can't believe they charge more for these rooms. I will never stay here again and definitely don't recommend it to anyone!

Members of the staff were really nice. I was not an early riser and they would leave care packages of new towels and soap by our door. Our main concern was bed bugs and roaches and there were none to be found here. Overall the location was great and we enjoyed the few days off we had.

Bathroom very small, tried to use the jacuzzi tube and black stuff came out of the jets. Bed was hard but had soft pillows. Kitchen was nice and updated but the overall room needed updating

I would not stay again

Staff was friendly, the pools and slides were great how ever the room was not so great. There was blood on the back on the bathroom door, the curtain tô the bedroom was about 6 inches short so people could see in our room and the jacuzzi is nothing more than a one person tub with jets.
