"Location was good, it was about a 15 minute drive into downtown Charleston. I liked that the hotel was kind of tucked away by itself, not no traffic other than hotel guests. Checkin was easy and friendly, room was clean and comfortable. The shower leaked slightly but I’ve noticed this in other Tru locations. "

"The location was great. The breakfast was very good and had variety. The only issue was the daily room service was lacking. We had to go to the front desk twice to get the correct number of towels and bath cloths for our room. We had a two bedroom suite and only one bed was serviced. The staff did replenish the coffee k-cups or the plastic lining for our ice bucket. We have stayed at several Holiday Inn Express and this was the first time we had any complaints. "This property was great for our family of 5 and the option of two bedrooms. Great to be able to cook in the suite, walk to restaurants and nearby park. Great location to drive to the beach or stores close by. Only downfall was no pool for when we didn’t want to drive back to the beach, but they said Candlewood is getting rid of all pools on properties. Overall; we would stay again!"

"Cleanliness. Staff was friendly, location great. We didn't like that I coffee pot was cleaned with bleach. First cup of tea made, one swallow made me sick. You could smell the bleach. The cigarette refuse bin outside was full and not emptied. The tall thin blue thing. We don't smoke, but witnessed the cigarette trash in flower pots and plants, which was distasteful. We entered in a side door to see this, not sure if all were the same."

"We are repeat customers. We really enjoy staying here when we come to Isle of Palms. You can always rely on Hampton Inn's as they are always consistent in every way. We love staying here too, because it is close to Isle of Palm and we enjoy going there for the day to stay on the beach. Clean, Quiet, Great Breakfast, and excellent location. Definitely recommend. "
