"This hotel must have been renovated because most of it is very nice. Our room however had a torn shower curtain, the walls had some bad spots, and the road noise was louder than usual, but overall very comfy. Their breakfast was awesome, including the cheese omelets and fresh fruit."

"The room was clean, although it had a moldy smell when we entered our room. When in the room, I did a lot of sneezing and coughing. It is also time for a new mattress. Otherwise we really enjoyed the place. It is in a beautiful setting . Staff were great, and our dinner on the terrace was wonderful,and the menu was quite varied The view from the front porch is very beautiful."

"Like the price. Wanted 2nd floor, but got 1st floor...didn't feel as safe for woman alone. My room had one of those doors that adjoins to the next room and has a bolt lock. For over 3 hours that evening I heard loud party music with noise and ladies shouting and singing, but was probably the TV in room next door. Could hear from crack under door bottom and side as if it was in my room! A man was in the room who kept yelling out things out loud while listening/watching, and sneezing, etc. It made me uncomfortable. He awoke at 5:50 a.m. put on light which could be seen under adjoining door and I heard him go to bathroom. He left while I was getting ready, I think. Good thing is that he did go to bed by 10:45 or 11:00, and I did sleep really well and for that I am very grateful!"

"Never states at a horrible motel before. First room had stains all over the baseboards, hair on the bed, unclean floors. The room was not clean. After complaining, the staff changed the room. New room is better, but not great. Bathroom doors don’t even lock. Hard to adjust the water temperature if shower. Except the friendliness of the staff, there is nothing going for this place. Stay away from this place. I am not sure if this area has any better options though."

"The cabin room was generally clean (no protective covers on the pillows), had everything needed, and in good working order. If you like 60s decor then the cabin and amenities are perfect for you. I think it needs updating so you can really appreciate the amazing views from the rooms and dining room."

"The hot tub was great after long hikes. The space is very comfortable. The area is quiet and secluded, about 15 minutes north of Luray and half an hour from the entrance to Shenandoah Park."
